Fans have been gearing up for anything from Meghan Markle’s next era. After her award-winning podcast, Archetypes was suddenly canceled, many wondered what would be next for the Duchess of Sussex.

As of June 2024, she’s working on her brand American Riviera Orchard, Netflix producing, and oh yeah, a brand new podcast on the horizon.

Meghan has an upcoming podcast series in partnership with Lemonada Media, and according to a PR specialist, it seems as though she’s gearing up to have her A-list friends be a part of it again.

With Archetypes, Meghan had many friends on the show like Judd Apatow, Andy Cohen, MJ Rodriguez, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, Issa Rae, Paris Hilton, Mindy Kaling, Serena Williams, and more. But with her new podcast, she wants another A-list buddy, one who wasn’t on her original podcast: Priyanka Chopra.

PR Specialist Kayley Cornelius told Express.co.uk that Meghan is itching to get Chopra on her show.

“While Meghan’s contact list may not have completely diminished, she will certainly have a smaller pool to rely on,” Cornelius said. “Initially, we might expect her to call in favours from her remaining friends and work through their networks. For instance, long-term friend Priyanka Chopra, who did not feature on ‘Archetypes,’ could be among the first names Meghan considers.”

Not much else is known about the new podcast. All we do know is that it was announced on Feb 2024, and it will reportedly be live sometime in 2025.

Now, how close are Meghan and Chopra?

Well, the two met back in 2016 at a female empowerment event, and have sung each other’s praises over the years. In fact, back in 2017, Chopra told People: “We bonded as actors. We just became friends, like two girls would.”

While they keep their friendship away from the public eye, we do know they remain close, and that Chopra was in attendance at Meghan and Prince Harry’s royal wedding in 2018.
