Meghan Markle has ‘too much on plate’ to face ‘stress of coming to UK’ with Prince Harry

Meghan Markle’s life is now firmly in the US, but Prince Harry may be keen to spend more time in his home country.

Meghan Markle has enough going on in the US without dealing with the “stress” of accompanying Prince Harry to the UK, an inside source has claimed.

There has been speculation that Harry may be interested in travelling back to the UK to help patch things up with the Royal Family, but his wife it seems would prefer to stay away.

A source told Closer magazine: “Harry is very anxious to go home and see his dad, catch up with his friends for his birthday in September and also pay a visit to his aunt, Princess Anne. But that situation hasn’t changed for Meghan.

“She’s respectful that Harry has to go back to his home for practical and emotional reasons, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to go with him.”

As well as looking after their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Meghan is keen to work on projects that have nothing to do with the Firm.

Meghan will not be keen to join Harry in the UK

The Duchess of Sussex has had a busy year professionally, with the launch of her new brand American Riviera Orchard and filming a new TV show for Netflix, thought to be focused on cooking and entertaining.

The source added: “She’s got way too much on her plate with the brand and her new cooking show, as well as looking after the kids.

“The last thing she needs is the stress of going back to the UK, where she fears she’d be heckled again in public, which she finds incredibly painful.”

Meghan and Harry were greeted by some boos when they arrived at St Paul’s Cathedral in June 2022 to attend the Platinum Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving.

The Duchess is known to be particularly unpopular, with one PR expert giving her tips on how she could boost her profile in Britain should she ever return.

Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR told Express.co.uk said Meghan should refrain from “constantly” playing on her royal connections, and instead try to be more relatable to the general public and avoid contradicting herself.

Ms Carratt said: “Meghan could increase her popularity by not constantly playing in her royal connections, like on her and Harry’s relaunched website.

Meghan has been advised how to boost her popularity

“To become more relatable to the British public, Meghan can consider toning down her use of designer labels and opting for frugal options, like Kate.

“Showing herself as a normal working mum who is facing the same challenges as others would also help.

“The public often dislikes the hypocrisy of her showing off her privileged life while trying to resonate and relate to those less fortunate than her.”
