Meghan Markle has a potential “gold mine” that could make her a lot of money, a royal expert has said, but it could risk angering the Royal Family, especially King Charles.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have launched numerous projects since leaving the Royal Family in 2020.

Among them was Meghan’s Spotify podcast, her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, and Prince Harry’s explosive memoir Spare.

The Duke’s book sparked a lot of controversy after its launch in January 2023, and a royal expert believes Meghan could follow a similar path.

Tom Bowers, author of Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsor, says Meghan could have a “gold mine” on her hands if she wrote a book of her own.

He told Talk TV: “The only thing she has got left – and I think that is her potential gold mine – is her autobiography. She has a very very vivid imagination and she’ll be able to spell out an amazing story… to increase her income.”

Numerous reports and experts suggested that the Royal Family were not happy about Harry’s memoir when it was released, so a book from Meghan could further strain relations between King Charles and the couple.

Mr Bowers also said that he believed Meghan came to London to boost her career.

He added: “The problem is, she isn’t a great actress. Her acting career ended long before she arrived in London – that’s why she came here. She couldn’t find any more work after Suits.”
