The Duchess’ trip to the Big Apple comes as she is gearing up to launch her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
Meghan Markle has been praised as a “supportive and loving friend” by a pal, after she arrived in New York via a private jet.
The Duchess of Sussex was joined by two of her long-time friends, Bobbi Brown, a make-up entrepreneur and Misha Nonoo, a fashion designer, when she stepped out at a business summit in The Hamptons over the weekend.
New friends were also there to support Meghan at the G9 Ventures Summer Summit, which was hosted by power broker Amy Griffin, who is an investor in brands such as Bumble, Goop and Hello Sunshine.
Spanx founder Sara Blakely and millionaire IT Cosmetics co-founder Jamie Kern Lima smiled as they posed for photos with the Duchess during the event.

Meghan flew to the event with Lima in a private jet, and the entrepreneur praised the mother-of-two in an Instagram post following the summit.
Posting a charming photo of herself, Meghan and Barkley beaming at the camera, she wrote: “Love this pic because it captures the essence of friendship. Thank you Meg for being such a supportive and loving friend…
“In this pic for holding my arm with such love as I was about to walk up to stage and speak, and in real life for how generously you show up for your friends!”

It is understood that Meghan attended the summit to gather tips ahead of her own brand launch.
She first announced her upcoming lifestyle brand in March, however fans still cannot purchase anything from the site.
Meghan has only sent exclusive jars of jam and dog biscuits to her celebrity friends, who later promoted the products on social media.
Despite no official launch occurring yet, the brand has got off to a successful start according to royal sources, with a whopping 100,000 subscribers.
They claimed: “The rollout for American Riviera Orchard is already off to a strong start.

“The website has over 100,000 who have signed up to hear about the first products launched.
“Meghan is very pleased with the early interest it has gained.”
The 42-year-old used to run a lifestyle blog, The Tig, before she met her husband Prince Harry.
She shut the website down shortly before becoming a senior member of the Royal Family.
This year, the mother-of-two is interested in reviving her old lifestyle career.
Alongside her brand, she has also filmed a new programme for Netflix to “celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertainment and friendship”.
