Meghan Markle is reportedly “furious” as Victoria Beckham beats her to the punch with the announcement of her new Netflix show. The 43 year old Duchess of Sussex was planning to release her own cooking show as part of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix deal, but Victoria has now unveiled her own program, also set to air on Netflix.

Victoria, who is rumored to be at odds with the Sussexes, announced that her show, The House of VB, will premiere next year. The show will document her journey in building her fashion empire and offer fans a glimpse into the life of the former Spice Girl.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward believes Meghan will likely be “furious” that Victoria is releasing her show before hers. Speaking to Fabulous, she said: “I’m sure [Meghan] would have been furious because she likes to be in control.”

“I think she’d be annoyed that Victoria had pipped her to the post. She’d have to be magnanimous about it deep down inside. She might be annoyed, but she cannot show it, and you know she’s enough of an actress to know that she can’t possibly show it.”

When asked if she thinks Meghan will publicly express her true feelings, Ms. Seward said it would be a “grave error” to say anything at all, reports the Express.

She added: “I think to say anything else would be a grave error, and she knows that. Of course, she’d be annoyed, but there’s absolutely nothing she can do about it because she doesn’t have a hand in the scheduling of these shows.”

Earlier this year, Deadline revealed that Meghan’s upcoming series, still in the early stages of development, will showcase the former actress embracing “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship.” A source confided to Us Weekly in August, saying the series “is going to be a take on her and the joy of living. [There will be] little things she’s learned in terms of being a modern-day hostess.”

As of now, just like the release date, the title for Meghan’s series remains under wraps.
