Meghan Markle has been accused of treating her father, Thomas Markle, poorly after he suffered a heart attack.

During an interview with The Sun’s royal editor Matt Wilkinson, senior royal commentator Tom Bower strongly criticised the Duchess of Sussex for ‘moving on’ with her life as her dad struggles financially and physically.

He said, “It’s too late, the Sussexes have moved on, they don’t seen to give two hoots rather he’s frankly alive or dead anymore and probably they would prefer him to disappear.”

Tom said he feels “sorry” for Thomas. The royal expert added, “…he’s a very decent man, very hard-working, he was a wonderful father.”

“Meghan owes him such a lot and she’s treated him appallingly. She’s treated him in a way which is just totally unwarranted,” he continued.

The royal author expressed his sympathies for Thomas, who was left alone during Harry and Meghan’s wedding.

Tom shared, “Even when he had his heart attack and wasn’t able to get to the wedding no one was there to help him.”

“I think the Palace behaved appallingly towards him, abandoned him, very much I think because Harry and Meghan themselves just thought he was someone who could be ignored,” the royal editor said.
