Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s future and popularity ‘depend on two things’

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been living in Montecito, California for four years, and now an expert has now said their future and popularity depend on two things.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's future and popularity depend on two things

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s future popularity hinges on two key factors, according to a Royal expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who stepped down from their senior Royal duties in 2020, have been living in Montecito, California for the past four years. The couple’s decision to distance themselves from England and Royal life has seemingly led to a slight dip in their popularity.

This year, the Sussexes seem to be undergoing a brand makeover, revamping their personal image through public appearances and new projects. For instance, they’ve graced several red carpet events and hinted at upcoming Netflix projects.

Harry is reportedly working on a Netflix series about polo, while Meghan is developing a show centered around cooking, gardening, and friendship. Additionally, Meghan has quietly launched her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams noted that the Sussexes “have remarkably few A-listers who openly support them”. He suggests that their continued relevance or potential rise in popularity now depends on two crucial elements, reports the Mirror.

“Nacho Figueras has been called the ‘ David Beckham of polo’, is a friend of Harry’s, and will appear in Harry’s series on polo for Netflix. Yet this is an elitist sport and unlikely to draw a large number of viewers,” he said.

“Harry has, of course, outstanding legal issues over security and with the press which he intends to pursue in Britain but this is surely not destined to be his main claim to fame in the future,” Mr Fitzwilliams divulged to us.

He also let slip that there are two projects on which the Sussexes seem to be betting their chips. In conversation with us, he spilled further: “Much depends on Meghan’s cookery program for Netflix and how well, American Riviera Orchard, her lifestyle brand, actually does.”

“Meanwhile, it seems most unlikely that more awards will come Harry’s way anytime soon.”

This bit of gossip comes on the heels of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, supporting her husband at a Los Angeles ESPY award ceremony on Thursday night. In this high-profile event, Prince Harry was honored with the Pat Tillman Award for Service, an accolade ESPYs bestows upon sports figures who’ve significantly impacted others’ lives.

The Duke bagged the prestigious title for his decade-long work with the Invictus Games, aimed at aiding injured and ill military personnel.
