Meghan Markle Allegedly Treated Father Appallingly When He Suffered Stroke, Doesn’t Care

Prince Harry begged Meghan Markle's dad Thomas to speak to him just days before their wedding – The Sun | The Sun

Meghan Markle’s biggest critic is back and he rarely had anything nice to say about her, not least in the case of her father Thomas Markle, who is yet to meet her husband Prince Harry or even his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet. While most royal fans and reporters spend their time speculating about whether a royal reconciliation may be in the works for the Sussexes, poor Thomas is yet to meet his son-in-law.

According to Bower, he did a lot for Meghan’s education and career for him to sidelined as easily as he seems to have been done.

During his sit-down with The Sun’s Matt Wilkinson, Bower alleged things about the Duchess’s relationship with her father Thomas, 79.

“I feel intensely sorry for him, he’s a very decent man, very hard-working, he was a wonderful father,” said Mr Bower. “Meghan owes him such a lot and she’s treated him appallingly. She’s treated him in a way which is just totally unwarranted.”

Meghan, 42, is yet to see her father in years, and communication between them is either not great or is non-existent. “And, there he is, sitting in a rather shabby cabin in New Mexico and he doesn’t deserve what she’s ladled out.”

How Thomas Markle's Stroke Puts Meghan, Harry in Precarious Position - Newsweek

One of the things Harry and Meghan consistently complain about of their time in the Royal Family is the press, and yet, according to Bower, they were unwilling to offer help to Thomas when journalists besieged him.

“Even when he had his heart attack and wasn’t able to get to the wedding no one was there to help him,” the royal biographer added.

“I think the Palace behaved appallingly towards him, abandoned him, very much I think because Harry and Meghan themselves just thought he was someone who could be ignored,” he continued. “That was a great tragedy for him. And I think also for the Royal Family.”

In truly stinging comments, he claimed Meghan doesn’t care whether her father lived or died.
“It’s too late, the Sussexes have moved on, they don’t seen to give two hoots rather he’s frankly alive or dead anymore and probably they would prefer him to disappear,” he claimed.
