Megan Thee Stallion saw a win in court as the judge awarded her a five year restraining order against Tory Lanez who the musician alleges was harassing her from prison.
The musician was awarded a five year restraining order against Tony who is currently behind bars. In court, Megan said: “It just seems like I have to relive it every day. The person who shot me won’t let me forget it … I feel like maybe he’ll shoot me again, and maybe this time I won’t make it.”
She previously requested the restraining order, accusing Tory of continuously attempting to reach her and harass her. Court documents obtained by the Mirror reveal she accuses him of using bloggers like Elizabeth Milagro Cooper to disseminate falsehoods—actions for which Megan previously filed a lawsuit against Elizabeth this year. Megan believes a review of prison phone logs indicates a “coordinated effort” by Tory to wage “psychological warfare” on her.
In response to the restraining order request, Tory’s legal team previously toldT MZ: “Megan’s claim that Tory filed legal docs to undermine her new Amazon Prime documentary is ‘ridiculous.'”
Megan Thee Stallion has been vocal about the toll these alleged actions have taken on her mental health, citing depression among the impacts. In her legal battle with Elizabeth, the “WAP” artist contends that she was used as a “mouthpiece and puppet” for Tory, even allegedly circulating a “deepfake pornographic video” of Megan.
During the proceedings, Megan stated: “It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life.”
“I’ve endured countless attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers misrepresenting themselves as journalists. It’s unacceptable behavior and these individuals need to understand there will be repercussions for recklessly posting lies and defamatory falsehoods.”
Elizabeth acknowledged she was aware of the lawsuit but declined further comment.
In Dec. 2022, Tory was convicted of three felonies related to the July 12, 2020 shooting. The incident occurred after Tory and Megan left Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood home, where an argument had erupted. Prosecutors alleged that Tory shot at Megan’s feet as she exited the car, causing a wound and leaving bullet fragments in her feet. He was sentenced in Aug. 2024 to 10 years in prison, but Megan was still concerned for her safety upon his release.
Megan publicly disclosed the incident on Instagram Live a month later. During the trial, Megan testified, “I don’t want to be on this Earth. I wish he would have shot and killed me if I knew I would go through this torture.”
