More of Marvel’s Netflix heroes are making their way into the MCU, and a recent post suggests the franchise’s most divisive hero will be next.
As more actors from Marvel’s Netflix series begin to return to the small screen, Finn Jones, the actor behind the divisive Iron Fist, may have just signaled he’ll be joining the MCU. Actors from Marvel’s Netflix shows began popping up in the MCU when Vincent D’Onofrio returned as Kingpin in Hawkeye. Shortly after, Charlie Cox returned as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Now, it seems like another one of Netflix’s major heroes may be returning despite being pretty divisive.
Finn Jones, who starred in Iron Fist, recently posted a picture to his Instagram story which showed an old Power Man and Iron Fist comic. This has led some to believe that Jones is teasing his return to the MCU as Iron Fist.
Power Man, more commonly known as Luke Cage, was another Netflix hero who has yet to make the leap to the modern MCU. Jones’ choice of comics may be a coincidence, or it could signal that both Iron Fist and Luke Cage are coming back to the MCU.
Every Defenders Saga Character With A Confirmed MCU Return
Aside from Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, who have already reprised their roles, several other actors from Marvel’s Defenders saga have been confirmed to be returning. Wilson Bethel, who plays Bullseye, and Jon Bernthal, who plays the Punisher, have already been confirmed to be making appearances in Daredevil: Born Again. Set photos from the show have also confirmed that Deborah Ann Wolf and Elden Henson will also be back as Karen and Foggy.
While there has been no official confirmation of Finn Jones’ MCU return, if he is coming back, Daredevil: Born Again seems like a good possible option for where he will turn up. After all, Iron Fist has ties to Daredevil through the Defenders. Alternatively, there have been some unconfirmed rumors that Shang-Chi 2 could include Iron Fist. While some were expecting a recast, Jones’ recent post makes it seem like Marvel is sticking with their original Defenders cast.
