MCU’s Bold Move: Most Powerful Marvel Superhero Threatens Fantastic Four’s Success!

People are unsure about the MCU allegedly introducing Franklin Richards in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie!

The Fantastic Four: MCU's Rumored Decision to Introduce the Most Powerful Marvel Superhero Yet Can Backfire Badly

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is eagerly awaiting the arrival of Wolverine alongside Deadpool so that the doors between the MCU and the X-Men franchise can be opened up. Alongside the X-Men franchise, the world is also pretty excited for The Fantastic Four reboot.

With high expectations, it seems that the MCU might just fulfill them this time and create a really good reboot of the iconic franchise. Well, as per recent rumors and speculations, Marvel might bring out the big guns in The Fantastic Four by introducing… Franklin Richards!

The MCU Might Just Be Crazy Enough To Introduce Franklin Richards!

So all in all, let’s delve into Marvel Comics for a little bit to understand the characters better. Reed Richards and Sue Storm marry each other and have a child together who is named Franklin Richards.

Born with literally limitless power, Franklin Richards is classified as an Omega-level mutant (which we have explained here). As far as the comics go, Franklin Richards has saved the multiverse from collapsing and is described as the only being who could survive the end of the universe! As per a recent rumor, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is considering bringing out the character of Franklin Richards in its upcoming film The Fantastic Four.

Although some people might think that it’s a good idea, we are here to explain why letting Franklin Richards run free in an open field is considered a bad idea. From powers to the lore of Richards, here’s why people are skeptical about the MCU allegedly deciding to introduce Franklin Richards to the movie world.

Why The MCU Shouldn’t Bring Franklin Richards!

Since it is a mere rumor, there are some people who are excited to see Franklin Richards go to the full extent of his power. Taking to X, there were several people who also claimed that this was a bad idea and the MCU shouldn’t do this.

Here’s the rub: If the MCU were to introduce Franklin Richards to the world. it’s best if they do it while showcasing his childhood. A young Franklin Richards who is getting lovingly raised by Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards and Sue Storm would also add a much-needed emotional depth in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot.

If the MCU were to introduce a grown-up Franklin Richards, the idea would backfire terribly since the Omega-level mutant makes a villain like Galactus look like a cake-walk! Although the character of Franklin Richards is awesome, we’ll leave it up to Marvel Studios on how to introduce (if at all) Franklin Richards to the world. Matt Shakman’s Fantastic Four is currently slated for a release date of 25th July 2025 in theaters across the U.S.
