MCU Kang Theory Kills Two Birds With One Stone: Confirms Moon Knight Season 2 and Oscar Isaac Avengers 6 Debut

Moon Knight Season 2 could have a direct connection to Avengers: Secret Wars.

Kang and Moonknight

In Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, audiences were introduced to multiple variants of Kang, among which was one character that was dressed like an Egyptian Pharaoh. Widely considered to be the character Rama-Tut, a variant of Kang that became a ruler in Ancient Egypt.

However, since the character masquerades as a god in Egypt, the gods of the realm have a bone to pick with him in the comics, chief among them, is Khonshu, the god of the night sky, and Moon Knight’s patron deity. Given this connection in the comics, Moon Knight might have an in with the Avengers in Avengers: Secret Wars, and could also have his path laid out for Moon Knight Season 2.

Moon Knight Season 2 could focus on the character fighting Rama-Tut

Oscar Isaac in Moon Knight

The Moon Knight Season 2 could focus on Marc, Steven, and Jake, played by Oscar Isaac, fighting a bigger threat as compared to Arthur Harrow. The God of the Night Sky has a slew of enemies that he would gladly throw Moon Knight at, including Rama-Tut now that he has made an appearance in the MCU.

Rama-Tut doesn’t even need to be defeated in Moon Knight Season 2, as the creators of the show could set up an arc in the series that is not finished until Avengers: Secret Wars. This would allow the character of Moon Knight to be on the Avengers team, as his expertise in Egyptian history would come in handy when fighting with Rama-Tut and other Kang Variants.

Not to mention that Moon Knight would be a versatile asset to have in the group, given how his power manifests with multiple personalities and his connection to Khonshu, who is not as helpful as he could be but is willing to assist Marc/Steven/Jake in attaining his goals. Killing Rama-Tut definitely falls under that.

Moon Knight Season 2 could bring in more Moon Knight characters

Moon Knight Season 2

Moon Knight’s second season can do a lot of work to flesh out his side of the Marvel Universe before the character joins the Avengers. To begin with, Marvel Television could introduce the other heroes for whom Khonshu is a patron, such as Hunter’s Moon.

Werewolf by Night, who has already joined the MCU, could also make an appearance, given that Moon Knight first appeared as an adversary to the character in his first appearance. Moon Knight Season 2, while fighting Rama-Tut, could also introduce the previous versions of Moon Knight, some of which will be making an appearance in Marvel Comics later this year.

Avengers 6 will focus on bringing the Multiverse Saga to an end, which is going to make it difficult to focus on a B-tier character like Moon Knight. However, if the first Avengers film can sneak in a back story for Natasha and Clint, perhaps the next iteration of the MCU’s Avengers can fight some time to focus on Moon Knight’s personal conflicts, which need not be explored in one film alone. After all, what allowed the characters of the Infinity Saga to feel fleshed out was the breathing space that they were given across the slew of films that they appeared in.
