Marvel’s Iron Fist Resurrection: Finn Jones Teases Fans with Exciting News!

Following Finn Jones’ Instagram story, perhaps more Defenders characters are set to follow Daredevil to the MCU.

“He deserves a second chance”: Finn Jones Hints Marvel Return as Iron Fist With a Storyline That Fans Have Been Waiting for Years

Marvel’s association with Netflix was working well, as they came up with the Defenders Saga, consisting of shows like Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and others. But as the streamer decided to cancel each of them by 2019, Marvel extended their association with Disney+. Soon after, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil got a revival and jumped from Netflix to MCU.

Now, it seems that even more members of the Defenders cast are teasing their return after their standalone shows got canceled. Iron Fist star Finn Jones is one among them who is starting to make headlines for tickling fans’ curiosity with the possibility of his return. Sharing an Instagram story that hints at a possible storyline for Heroes for Hire, Jones seemingly excited his fans.

Netflix Canceled Luke Cage and Iron Fist’s Heroes for Hire

After delivering a few gripping episodes and finding success on Netflix, the streamer unfortunately canceled Finn Jones’ Iron Fist and Mike Colter’s Luke Cage in October 2018. Although the two characters from the Defenders Saga, much like the comics, were supposed to fight crimes as partners in a brand new show Heroes for Hire, Netflix seemingly canceled the possibility.

However, on a recent note, Marvel Studios hinted at Marvel Television’s Defenders Saga being canon to the MCU. Thereafter, as per ScreenRant, Charlie Cox‘s Daredevil made headlines for getting a revival with a brand new storyline for MCU’s Phase 5. Following Marvel’s plans for reviving the Defenders Saga shows that never got developed, it seems that they might have plans for the canceled Heroes for Hire project as well.

After Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, made a few cameos in canon MCU projects, it seems there’s a possibility for the other Defenders cast to join in. Although proper cameos of characters like Iron Fist and Luke Cage in MCU would hint at a broader possibility, fans are more interested in the Heroes for Hire project. Meanwhile, teasing that very aspect, Finn Jones shared an Instagram story and took the internet by storm.

Finn Jones Teases a Potential Return as Iron Fist

After Netflix canceled Iron Fist and Luke Cage, people started speculating that it was purposefully done to create a space for an adaptation of Marvel Comics’ Heroes for Hire. Further, Mike Colter and Finn Jones’ team-up in Netflix’s Defenders Saga sparked rumors that perhaps they might be adapting the storyline from Marvel Comics’ Power Man and Iron Fist #54 (1978), where Luke and Danny founded Heroes for Hire, for the potential show.

Unfortunately, the idea for Heroes for Hire never came to pass. But on a recent note, Finn Jones appeared hinting at something in association with Heroes for Hire. Sharing an Instagram story with an image of a duffel bag on a bed that had the final issue of Power Man and Iron Fist lying on top, alongside a copy of The Neverending Story, Jones sparked headlines. Possibly hinting at a potential appearance in MCU, Jones left his fans to seek more information.

Obviously, Finn Jones could just be reading through the comics for fun. But there’s always the possibility of a show revival, much like Marvel Studios’ work on the Daredevil: Born Again series. If Marvel decides to develop Heroes for Hire, it could tie together Luke Cage and Danny Rand for the MCU’s Multiverse Saga. For now, the ball is strictly in Marvel’s court, but fans have started getting excited over Jones’ story as they believe Iron Fist deserves a second chance with a better storyline.
