However, recent rumors suggest that Ghost Rider may indeed make his debut in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel. It’s also important to emphasize that this information remains speculative for now. Nonetheless, Ghost Rider has captured the attention of fans, who are eager to see how the fiery antihero with his iconic flaming skull and hellish motorcycle will be incorporated into the MCU.

Will Doctor Strange 3 Introduce Ghost Rider to the MCU?

Fans are buzzing with excitement over the potential entry of Ghost Rider to the MCU, with rumors suggesting that the upcoming Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange movie could provide the perfect platform for his dashing entry. Many find this idea highly plausible, considering the MCU’s recent focus on horror and supernatural themes in its films.

Sources also suggest that this incarnation of Ghost Rider will likely be the Johnny Blaze version, adding to the anticipation among fans.

Ghost Rider’s journey in live-action adaptations has been tumultuous in the past to say the least, although now iconic, Nicholas Cage‘s portrayal received mixed reviews back in the day. However, the character found redemption in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. with Gabriel Luna’s Robbie Reyes version, though limited by budget constraints. Despite plans for a spin-off series, it was ultimately scrapped. Now, rumors suggest Ghost Rider may ride into Doctor Strange 3.

While there’s been no official confirmation, fans are eagerly anticipating Ghost Rider’s potential return to the MCU. According to insider reports from a source (@MarvelLeaks22) on X, an announcement regarding this is expected later this year or early next year, marking a significant moment as the MCU gears up for major plans involving the character.

Which Actor Could Possibly Bring Ghost Rider to Life in the MCU?

As fans speculate about Ghost Rider’s potential return to the MCU, there’s been considerable discussion about who could take on the role. The Barbie star Ryan Gosling once expressed his interest in playing Ghost Rider during an interview with Happy Sad Confused host Josh Horowitz.

Kevin Feige also acknowledged Gosling’s enthusiasm for the role during an interview with MTV News at Comic-Con, adding to the excitement surrounding the possibility. As he revealed, “Hey man, if Ryan wants to be Ghost Rider… Gosling’s unbelievable, Ryan’s amazing. I’d love to find a place for him in the MCU. He’s dressed up as Ken on Venice Beach and gets more press than giant movies coming out that weekend. It’s amazing.”

While Gosling isn’t the only actor linked to the character, Norman Reedus also expressed interest in portraying Ghost Rider during an interview with ComicBook.com, “The Ghost Rider conversation has been coming up for years, and yeah, tell them to put me in it. I want to play Ghost Rider. I want  a fire skull. I want my face to turn into a fire skull and whip a chain around. That would be great. I got 12 motorcycles. I’d just pick one. I’ll do it, yeah.”

With no official updates, fans are left to speculate about Marvel’s plans, and anything could happen. However, despite the lack of confirmation, fans remain excited to see what lies ahead in the superhero saga.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is available on Disney+ to stream.
