Marvel Shakes Things Up: Latest Project Receives Highest Rotten Tomatoes Score in 16 Years

Marvel’s most recent project managed to break a Rotten Tomatoes record that no MCU project has achieved in the past 16 years of movies and TV shows.

Cyclops from X-Men '97 and Kamala from Ms. Marvel

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has earned some high Rotten Tomatoes scores from critics, but Marvel’s latest project, X-Men ’97, has managed to beat every MCU project. This is no small feat for the X-Men revival series, as multiple MCU movies have achieved Rotten Tomatoes scores in the 90s before. Still, Marvel’s mutants have managed to outdo even the highest-rated movies, firmly establishing X-Men ’97 as one of the best projects Marvel has turned out in the past 16 years.

X-Men ’97 received a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes from critics. This surpasses the highest-ranked MCU movie on Rotten Tomatoes, Black Panther, which received a 96%. It also just barely surpassed the MCU’s highest-rated project, Ms. Marvel, which has a 98%. It will be interesting to see how Marvel reacts to their highest rated project in recent years being one that isn’t connected to the wider MCU.
