Recently, Screen Rant’s Liam Crowley caught up with Daredevil: Born Again executive producer and Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Brad Winderbaum, to discuss the series’ upcoming sophomore season. According to Winderbaum, the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen will be back on our screens not long after the end of season 1:
Q: Considering Daredevil: Born Again season 2 production kicks off in just a couple of weeks here in New York; is the ambition for a project like Daredevil: Born Again to eventually become an annual release?
Brad Winderbaum: That is the plan. Season 2 will come out next year, and then hopefully season 3 and season infinity after that. I think this world is extremely rich, and there are many stories to be told on the streets of New York.
It’s certainly something very fundamental to Marvel, going back to the earliest days of publishing with Stan and Jack and Steve and the original Marvel bullpen. It’s New York through New York, and the fact that we’re able to shoot here and tell a story about New York made by New Yorkers is just fundamental to the series.
Per Winderbaum, Daredevil: Born Again could become an annual release, bringing back the more grounded, street-level side of the MCU. Additionally, the series would more strongly tie the MCU back to its New York roots.
What Brad Winderbaum’s Comments About Daredevil: Born Again’s Future Mean

Winderbaum has previously been open about his ambitions for Daredevil: Born Again to be a multi-season series. The executive producer explained, however, that while it is “one-hundred percent […] a multi-season show,” Marvel has not determined “how many seasons it’ll run” for. For his part, Cox also added that “It would be cool for that journey to continue.“
Given Winderbaum notes both the richness of Daredevil: Born Again’s world and its ties to classic Marvel, it seems the series will lean into the more grounded, New York-based stories the brand is known for. As such, it makes sense that the series could mine more story potential than higher concept fare, such as Loki.
