Following the release of their first teaser, the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer gets imagined in a Marvel Cinematic Universe fan video in LEGO style.

The Deadpool & Wolverine trailer gets the LEGO treatment in a new Marvel Cinematic Universe fan recreation. 2024 will mark one of the biggest years for the MCU as Wade Wilson is finally entering the franchise, following Marvel Studios getting the X-Men rights back. Set to reprise the role in the Deadpool & Wolverine movie, Ryan Reynolds’ fan-favorite hero will become a permanent part of the MCU timeline, while also giving the old Fox-Marvel universe a sendoff after all these years.

As Deadpool & Wolverine will be one of the few Marvel movies releasing in 2024 – and the only MCU entry – the trilogy finale had its first trailer released in early February, as Marvel Studios is building up hype for the summer film. While the MCU audience is waiting for the Phase 5 adventure to arrive, Jekester shared an incredible recreation of the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, but in LEGO format.

The Deadpool & Wolverine’s LEGO treatment brilliantly depicts the story that has been teased so far from the trailer in the popular animated style from start to finish. Jekester’s rendition comes only a month after the official Deadpool & Wolverine trailer release, showing how talented some artists out there can be.

Could A Marvel Lego Movie Actually Happen?

Ever since Phase 4, Marvel Studios has finally started to explore more stories in the world of animation, from the What If…? series to the X-Men ’97 TV show, which serves as a sequel to X-Men: The Animated Series. Despite Deadpool & Wolverine being the only MCU film for 2024, there are more animated shows coming to Disney+ this year, including Eyes of Wakanda, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and Marvel Zombies. With a bigger focus on animation, the question of whether an actual LEGO Marvel movie could happen down the line is more pertinent than ever.

While there have been various LEGO animated shorts based on Marvel characters, a full scale feature-length LEGO Marvel movie in the vein of The LEGO Batman Movie has yet to come to fruition. At this point, it wouldn’t be shocking if that is simply a style of animation that Marvel Studios isn’t rushing to explore in full-length movies for the time being. With all of their other animated TV shows coming, they already have their focus on non-live-action MCU projects, at least until The Multiverse Saga is over.

If Marvel ever were to pursue this avenue, a LEGO Marvel movie would likely do pretty well, especially targeted at a younger audience – something that releases like LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Avengers Reassembled have proved may bear fruit. However, given the fact this hasn’t fully unfolded even in a post-The LEGO Movie world, it may simply never be something that becomes a big priority for Marvel. This may mean that the Deadpool & Wolverine LEGO fan trailer is the closest the MCU audience will get to see this franchise depicted in that animation style.
