Hauser has been one of the prominent stars in both small and big screens. Most recently, the actor and professional wrestler voiced Dark in Orion and the Dark for Netflix. Prior to that, Hauser claimed the 2024 Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for playing Larry Hall in Apple TV+ true crime drama show, Black Bird. His MCU casting has now created the hype for the movie.

MCU’s Fantastic Four reboot has been the talk of the town since the announcement of the movie with the primary four cast. While Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards/ Mr. Fantastic in the movie has created mixed reactions from fans, we will have to wait what the talented actor does with the character. Alongside Pascal, Vanessa Kirby will play Sue Storm/ the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn was roped into playing Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach is set to play Ben Grimm aka the Thing.

Beyond the primary cast, the movie has been adding actors for supporting roles. Recently, Julia Garner joined the hyped movie as Shalla-Bal, an alternate version of Silver Surfer.

A recent report by Deadline confirmed that Paul Walter Hauser also landed on the movie as the latest actor. However, Marvel Studios has kept his role undisclosed. Fantastic Four is seemingly going to be retro, potentially set in the ’60s with the central cast flashed wearing a light blue Fantastic Four uniform. However, it is hard to predict the actual storyline Marvel is going to pick for the movie.

Fans may wonder what role Hauser could play in the MCU flick. A recent speculation has shed light on Hauser’s character as Mole Man is reportedly facing off against the superhero group. Hauser as Mole Man seems fitting, and the actor certainly possesses the potential to do marvel for the role.

Harvey Rupert Elder, aka Mole Man, was the first villain that the Fantastic Four faced. A genius villain with not much superhuman power to his credit, but his intelligence makes him a worthy foe for the band of superheroes led by Richards. Mole Man lost his eyesight after gazing directly at a highly reflective deposit of diamonds in the underground realm of Subterranea, but he developed his other senses like that of Daredevil.

Mole Man also has an army at his disposal and is very good at hand-to-hand combat. Short in stature, overweight, and extremely nearsighted villain with a large nose first appeared in The Fantastic Four #1 in November 1961, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and later appeared in several Marvel Comics editions.

Matt Shakman’s upcoming Fantastic Four movie is slated for 25 July 2025 release.
