The Marvel Cinematic Universe was long missing the talents of Deadpool and Wolverine, both of whom are slated to make their MCU debut on July 26. As grand and amazing as the feat sounds, the two characters are sure to make some mayhem and wreak havoc in the MCU. Yet almost nothing can be deduced from its two trailers, which has made Marvel fans even more anxious about the mutants’ first MCU adventure.

As fans are busy crafting theories and finding easter eggs, a newly surfaced synopsis of Deadpool and Wolverine has surfaced, hinting that the foul-mouthed mutant might come across Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is not only a massive world with innumerable characters, but it is also a world of infinite possibilities where anything and everything is possible. And with Deadpool and Wolverine, the stakes are definitely high and fans are right to anticipate some incredible events and mindblowing feats.

With this being Deadpool and Wolverine’s first MCU stunt, the chances of running into several old and new characters are high, especially since the movie is being poised as a multi-universal flick with an Endgame-like cast. Proving this theory is a newly surfaced synopsis of the movie, which also hints that we might come across Robert Downey Jr.‘s Iron Man as well.

“And not only will they be working to defeat a range of villains plaguing the Marvel universe, bub, but they’ll be gate-crashing the MCU franchise, too, and putting their own R-rated, 20th Century Fox-styled twist on some of our favorite moments from Phases 1-4!”

Reads the synopsis on Zazzle.com. Although it hasn’t been confirmed or verified, Marvel Japan’s website seems to have a similar synopsis stating,

“That irresponsible hero Deadpool will change the history of the MCU with Wolverine!?”

Although there is a chance of linguistic discrepancies due to translation, it does not mean the movie won’t have some multiversal feats. While their running into the Avengers is possible, there is also a small chance that Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man might make an appearance.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool & Wolverine is a movie full of several surprises and a multiversal epic. Teased to have several surprise appearances, one can only theorize what the movie will be about since not much can be figured out from its trailers. Yet seeing the recent synopsis of the movie, it is highly possible that the Avengers can show up in the flick.

This theory can further be supplemented by the movie’s first trailer where Deadpool can be seen paying homage to Captain America. Furthermore, there is a high chance that the Avengers can pop up somewhere seeing this will be Deadpool and Wolverine’s first time in the MCU.

As for Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, the character met his befitting and noble end in Endgame and it seems unlikely that Marvel would want to mess it up. Even if Tony Stark is to be featured in the movie, it will likely be a past sequence with no change to his legacy.

Regardless of whether Iron Man or the Avengers will make an appearance in Deadpool and Wolverine, fans are eagerly awaiting the introduction of the two fan-favorite mutants in the MCU. The movie will be in theatres on July 26, 2024.
