As many royal fans are aware of by now, both the King of England and the future queen of England have formed a close bond with each other amid their cancer diagnosis.

Well, now it seems like King Charles has even more of a reason to keep his “darling daughter-in-law” Kate Middleton even closer to him.

It’s one of the reasons why King Charles wanted Kate Middleton to be there for his official birthday celebrations during Trooping the Colours earlier this summer.

Even though the Princess of Wales has not taken on any of her royal engagements this past year and has refused to do any public appearances, she did make this one exception for the King of England.

And of course, all eyes were on her as Kate Middleton looked stunning in her first public appearance since her cancer diagnosis was announced back in March.

One source close to the situation even put it this way, “It is changing protocol to show the King and Kate united with each other and going through similar battles, so I would say this is down to the King’s preference.”

“The balcony [line-up] is orchestrated, so I have a feeling the King said to Kate, ‘You stand next to me.’”

Now, whether or not King Charles will manage to convince Kate Middleton to come out for more royal engagements next to him in the future remains to be seen.

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter just yet. Watch this space.
