“What i do know… the new season is 🤌,” the singer wrote after revealing she doesn’t watch ‘Outer Banks’.
Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes support each other from afar.
In a recent TikTok, the singer, 31, joked about how much (or little) she knew about Outer Banks when using a filter where she had to rank the characters, given to her in a random order.
Supporting the release of the first part of season 4, Ballerini admitted she doesn’t actually watch the show, which stars her boyfriend Stokes, 32. “what i do know… the new season is 🤌,” she captioned the video.
In response to comments saying she ranked her favorite characters based on what she knew about them as actors and not their actual roles, Ballerini wrote, “HAHAHA I DID MY BEST GO STREAM OUTER BANKS.”
One person wrote, “Kelsea you just need to watch the show 😭 🤍,” to which she offered a more clear explanation for why she doesn’t.
“Because he and i have a deal!” she said. “But i’ve seen so much of this season and it’s badass 🤍 NO FURTHER QUESTIONS YOUR HONOR.”
The TikTok filter she had chosen required her to place characters from the drama in order from one through ten, and when she had filled all but spots one and seven, she was in a predicament.
“So I’m holding the no. 1 space, obviously. For obvious reasons,” she said, referring to her boyfriend deserving the top spot. “But J.D. [Jonathan Daviss] does not deserve seven. The ranking is not serving me here.”
She then placed Daviss as no. 1, forcing her to put Stokes at seven. Still, she made sure to throw compliments at her man when his face finally popped up.
“The bandana, the face,” she said, gushing over how Stokes looked in the photo. “The… The him. The him. Ugh, we stan!”
“Well, I failed miserably at this but I am so excited for everyone and happy season 4,” Ballerini concluded at the end of the sweet video.
Ballerini and Stokes began dating nearly two years ago when the country artist slid into the actor’s DMs. She revealed the details of their first interaction on an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast in February 2023, shortly after confirming she was no longer single.
Admitting “I’m not going to get on an app,” she said she decided to message Stokes on Instagram instead, and things took off from there.
“I’ve never seen his show, but I just knew of him, and I just swan dove right on in,” Ballerini said.
When Cooper asked what the message said, the “Yeah Boy” singer shared that she kept things simple: “His handle is ‘@hichasestokes,’ and I said, ‘Hi, Chase Stokes.'”
Season 4 part 1 of Outer Banks is now streaming on Netflix, and part 2 premieres Nov. 7.
