Fans will be excited for Ironheart following Dominique Thorne’s recent comments about her camaraderie with Anthony Ramos.

Dominique Thorne’s Ironheart debuted in the MCU with 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. While not a protégé of Tony Stark, Riri Williams is also a brilliant tech wiz/inventor who built her own suit of armor with the help of the Wakandans in the film. The character’s spunk and charm made audiences want to see more of her in the MCU.

The character is set to lead her own Disney+ show titled Ironheart where she will star alongside Anthony Ramos. At a recent Disney event, the actress teased what audiences can expect from the show and the fun camaraderie she had with Ramos while filming, despite being her on-screen foe in the film.
Dominique Thorne Had a Ball Working With Anthony Ramos on Ironheart
In the Heights‘ Anthony Ramos is playing the Hood in Ironheart
After her fantastic MCU debut as Ironheart in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, actress Dominique Thorne is set to return as the character in her own series Ironheart. The series will be set after the events of that film and will see the MIT genius go on her own adventures where she discovers some dangers that she must face off against.
Ironheart will also see Anthony Ramos playing the antagonist The Hood. At a recent event for Disney, Thorne was interviewed by Deadline about the show and she teased that audiences will get to see more about Riri Williams and will delve deeper into her personal life.
When asked about working with Ramos on the show, the actress hilariously stated how they struggled to keep it together on set cause they were constantly laughing and joking around. She also praised his talent as an actor and claimed that he adds so much to the show with his character. Thorne said,
“Working with Anthony Ramos, it’s near impossible. You’re more so laughing and joking and trying to get it together. I don’t know how much work we actually did, but it was a blast, he’s so incredible. To finally get to work with him, it was such a gift, it really was. He’s so talented, added so much to the show, so it was wonderful.”
The bond that Thorne and Ramos have created in the show, as the actress has described, mirrors a lot of actor-duos who have loved working together, especially in the MCU shows. Elizabeth Olsen-Kathryn Hahn, Sebastián Stan, Anthony Mackie, and Owen Wilson-Tom Hiddleston have had similar stories about how they admired and loved working with the other actor.
It remains to be seen if their fabulous on-set chemistry translated into a worthy rivalry on-screen. The show is now scheduled for a 2025 release window on Disney+ and will be part of the current Phase 5 of the MCU.
Alden Ehrenreich Teases an Exciting Yet Emotional Narrative of Ironheart
Fair Play’s Alden Ehrenreich is excited to step into the big sandbox of the MCU with Ironheart
The MCU Disney+ series continues to roll out certain interesting projects that will open up the world more and introduce fascinating new characters. One of the exciting entries is the upcoming Ironheart series led by Dominique Thorne.
One of the stars from the show Alden Ehrenreich, whose role is still kept under wraps, talked to Uproxx about his fun role and the exciting show he got to be a part of. Ehrenreich stated that the show is rooted in a certain emotional core that fans will connect with along with its humor. He called the show’s concept a very cool and interesting one. The actor said, “It’s a great character and there’s a fun element to it that I can’t talk about. It was a really, really fun role. I can’t quite say that, but kind of. I am, too. Yeah, the show is really cool. It’s really an interesting corner of the MCU. It’s funny, it’s very touching, and emotional in a lot of ways. And it’s basically about this black girl growing up in Chicago and her experience and it’s really, really interesting.”
Ironheart will star Thorne, Ehrenreich, Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Matthew Elam, Anji White, Manny Montana, and Shea Couleé. After several delays and postponements, it was recently announced that the series will be released on Disney+ sometime in 2025 and will consist of 6 episodes.
