Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are among Hollywood’s most loved couples. Together since 2011, the duo seem to have a picture-perfect relationship and appear as much in love as the first time. Now married with four kids, the duo often roast and support each other on social media and different events.

But despite their endearing love, fans have been waiting for the two to share the screen. Last seen together in the bomb, Green Lantern, Reynolds and Lively have done no movies together since. Still, fans hoped that Lively might appear in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine as Lady Deadpool. But as per a recent rumor, fans of Reynolds and Lively are in for another disappointment.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively last starred together in Green Lantern and will be next appearing in the movie IF, although Lively has a voice-over role. While their being in a movie together is certainly a development, fans want them to star together in more prominent roles. With rumors of Lady Deadpool showing up in Ryenolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine, fans were expecting Lively to possibly star as the character opposite her husband.

Lady Deadpool, aka Wanda Wilson, is another version of Deadpool from Earth-3010. Sharing all the same characteristics as Reynolds’ character, including wit, healing abilities, and more, she is expected to show up in the highly anticipated Marvel flick as per the popular scooper Daniel Richtman.

Speculation regarding the character has been on the rise since, with Marvel fans stating that Blake Lively would be the better choice for the role. However, another Marvel scooper, @MyTimeToShineH, recently revealed that Lively will not be playing the character, which is not only a disappointing update for fans of the couple but also heartbreaking.

Deadpool is one of the wittiest characters in the whole Marvel Universe. And Ryan Reynolds is not only perfect for it but seems to be the human embodiment of the Marvel character. He, too, has an impeccable sense of humor, and his wife, Blake Lively, seems to share the same brain cells since the two often roast each other every chance they get.

So, while Lively would be perfect to play Lady Deadpool, fans were disappointed. Even more so when fans started exclaiming that the megastar Taylor Swift might be playing the character. Swift has long been rumored to join the MCU, and after Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld posted a photo of Swift dressed as Deadpool, these particular rumors have further gained traction and fans are not liking it.


As fans exclaim disappointment, it is important to remember that at this point, these are all rumors and speculations. Only time will tell what Deadpool & Wolverine really have in store for us. Meanwhile, fans wish for Lively and Reynolds to star in a movie together, hopefully soon.
