Is Virgin River Even Real? Fans Think the Entire Show Could Be Mel’s Fantasy—Here’s Why! 🤯👇

Virgin River fans have been coming up with crazy theories for the next season of the hit Netflix show.

Virgin River fans speculate if the whole show was apart of Mel's imagination - Daily Record

The beloved series Virgin River will be returning to Netflix at the end of the year, and fans have been guessing what will come from season seven of the show.

Some fans have been coming up with a wild theory that could turn the entire series on its head – what if everything that has happened so far is just a dream?

According to this theory, the entire show is simply a hallucination Mel is experiencing following her car crash in the very first episode of the show.

This would mean that all the characters, relationships, and storylines exist only in her subconscious while she is either in a coma or recovering from the accident.

One fan took to Reddit to explain the theory, stating: “The entire show is a hallucination following Mel’s car crash in Season 1 Ep 1. That would explain the timelines and deviations from reality. Last episode of the series; Mel wakes up in her car with Doc waiting to help.”

One fan chimed in regarding the theory, saying: “Honestly, if I were Mel and hallucinating all this, I’d be hella mad that my subconscious gave me a miscarriage.”

Although another fan pointed on the shows time line – something that has puzzled viewers for a while – suggesting that the theory of Mel being in a coma could be true but highlighted that other shows have similar timelines.

They wrote: “People don’t like the timeline, but unfortunately it takes a year or more to produce and film a series. So sometimes real time and show time can be wildly disparate.”

“Stranger things, it’s been 10 years and 4 seasons barely 2 years have passed- all the actors are adults now,” they continued before pointing out The Walking Dead and The Recruit both have shorter time in the shows universe compared to real life.

However, they did highlight that the theory would work considering the timeline of one year spread into six seasons.

Some viewers speculate about the “dream” theory, giving their own opinion on how the show should end, as they jokingly wrote: “Epilogue – Lizzie goes to college instead of getting knocked up by a sh*****d. She studies engineering, gets a great job in Seattle and is financially independent.”

For others, the idea of a fresh start for Virgin River is just wishful thinking, with fans growing tired of the show. As one fan put it: “I kind of wish they could start again, but sadly that IS a dream.”
