The upcoming event comes amid a string of solo appearances.
Prince Harry is adding a festive engagement to his latest string of appearances. As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex pursue separate business endeavors at the moment, Harry is reportedly hosting a holiday party without Meghan Markle this year.
It’s been a while since the royal couple has made a joint appearance, as they both have been focusing on their individual projects. And Prince Harry’s Christmas plans will include another solo event on Tuesday, December 10: a special virtual holiday party for a charity. As a Global Ambassador for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a non-profit that supports kids whose parents died while serving in the armed forces, Harry will hang out with attendees and answer questions about his life that were submitted ahead of time during the 6 p.m. event, Express.co.uk confirmed, citing an email sent to members.
Prince Harry, who’s written to Scotty’s Little Soldiers members every year since 2022, revealed that he felt a connection with them during his latest letter penned on November 7. The royal got emotional as he opened up about understanding “perhaps more than most, the weight of losing a parent at a young age.”
“It can be overwhelming and isolating,” he wrote in the Remembrance message, adding, “Yet, in the midst of that heartache, we find strength in the love and memories left behind, and I have seen how communities like yours can offer deep comfort and healing.”
While Prince Harry has yet to reveal any other holiday plans, he’s been focused on his various solo projects as well as promoting his upcoming Invictus Winter Games. In addition to visiting Canada and Africa without the Suits actress, Harry was alone during a busy week of initiatives in New York City that included events with the African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award, and Travalyst.”
Meanwhile, Meghan was recently spotted stepping out alone in California—a move that seems to be intentional, according to insiders. A friend of the couple recently told People that “it’s clear that a twin-track approach is evolving,” while royal reporter Phil Dampier speculated that Harry is trying to find his own path and “carve out what exactly his future is” in an interview with The Sun.
“I suspect Harry has been feeling very much like a spare part. He wants more fulfilling roles for himself so we may well be seeing more of him here,” the expert shared.
