“If You’re Really Thor, Go Get It”: Chris Hemsworth Goaded Over Reunion With Mjolnir He Doesn’t Remember Signing

Chris Hemsworth reunites with Thor‘s Mjolnir in a fun video, and the actor has the perfect answer to a request to get the God of Thunder’s hammer. While Thor: Love and Thunder proved itself one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most criticized movies, Hemsworth’s Thor remains a beloved part of the franchise. After leading four Thor movies, Hemsworth remains as connected to the character as ever, with a new video spotlighting the star’s humor, a Thor fixture.

On Twitter, Chris Hemsworth shared a video of him and his family finding Thor’s Mjolnir at Universal Studios, with the actor being asked to prove he was really Thor by getting his hammer from a glass display.

Hemsworth joked about not remembering to have signed Mjolnir. The star said he could have called Thor’s hammer, but did not do so as it would scare the kids. While there are no confirmed movies at the moment, Hemsworth will likely come back in multiple MCU projects as Thor in the future.

Thor & Mjolnir’s MCU Return Can’t Happen Soon Enough

The Multiverse Saga Is Coming To A Head

Thor: Love and Thunder saw the MCU return of the God of Thunder’s signature weapon, Mjolnir. After Hela broke it in pieces in Thor: Ragnarok, a spell attached to Jane Foster’s critical condition repaired Mjolnir and gave her the same powers Thor possessed. With Jane now dead, Mjolnir is back with Thor, and the duo needs to return to the MCU in order to turn the Thor franchise around and help Marvel’s heroes against Kang the Conqueror.

Thor 5 can turn the franchise around by being a more serious entry in the God of Thunder’s MCU filmography. While it is true that Thor: Love and Thunder was not nearly as good as expected, the character still remains one of the MCU’s most popular, and with Marvel shifting focus to sequels and franchises in the coming years, Thor 5 is the perfect movie to be released. It could once again feature Thor prominently in an adventure with Mjolnir, switch the franchise’s tone, and use the popular character to move the MCU’s overall story forward.

Hemsworth’s Thor, Mjolnir in hand, could return to the Avengers as one of the leaders of the new iteration of the team. If Marvel’s plans have not changed since Jonathan Majors’ firing, then the MCU’s heroes will have to face Kang the Conqueror and the multiversal Council of Kangs in the next two Avengers movies. With the Multiverse Saga soon reaching its boiling point, a hero as powerful and beloved as Thor is a must-have, and with Hemsworth open to making Thor 5, the hero could soon pop up in multiple major MCU movies.
