‘I would never want someone else to feel that way’: Meghan Markle’s birthday snubbed by entire royal family again

Meghan Markle celebrated her 43rd birthday on Sunday but the Duchess of Sussex’s big day was snubbed by the entire royal family again.

Meghan Markle has celebrated her 43rd birthday at home in California with her husband Prince Harry and their children Archie and Lilibet but the former working royal received no well wishes from the royal family.

Meghan marked her big day with the release of the Sussexes’ first joint interview since the Oprah Winfrey sit-down on CBS Sunday morning in a pre-recorded interview.

The sit-down focussed on a new Archewell initiative supporting parents of children affected by online harm.

While well-wishes for the Duchess of Sussex flooded in on social media, the entire royal family snubbed Markle’s birthday for the second year running.

The Sussexes “stepped back” as working members of the Royal Family in January 2020, before permanently relocating to California in June that year.

However, the royal family continued to acknowledge Harry and Meghan’s birthdays after the Sussexes left the royal family.

As recently as 2022, William and Kate shared a message with their millions of followers on social media publicly wishing Prince Harry’s wife a happy birthday when she turned 41.

The entire monarchy has snubbed Meghan and Harry’s birthdays since then, which coincided with the death of Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III ascending the throne.

At the time, royal aides said they only marked the birthdays of “working members” of the Royal Family on their official social media accounts.

Noticeably, the decision to stop marking Harry and Meghan’s birthdays also coincided with the release of the couple’s Netflix series slamming the monarchy.

Meghan’s birthday snub comes as the Duchess of Sussex opened up about her battle with mental health and suicidal thoughts while inside the royal family.

Sky News host Rita Panahi says the New York Post has revealed certain celebrities “did not want to pose” with Meghan Markle at a business summit.

“When you’ve been through any level of pain or trauma, I believe part of our healing journey — certainly part of mine — is being able to be really open about it,” Markle said during the CBS interview.

“You know, I haven’t really scraped the surface on my experience, but I do think that I would never want someone else to feel that way and I would never want someone else to be making those sort of plans, and I would never want someone else to not be believed.

“So, if me voicing what I have overcome will save someone or encourage someone in their life to really genuinely check in on them and not assume that the appearance is good, so everything’s okay, then that’s worth it. I’ll take a hit for that.”
