This ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ scene was so intense that fans are convinced Hugh Jackman must have had to hug Ryan Reynolds afterwards.

Deadpool & Wolverine has been a whirlwind experience that continues to leave fans from all across the globe baffled for one too many reasons. While the jaw-dropping action sequences, hilarious jabs through iconic fourth-wall-breaking punchlines, and barrel-loads of unexpected cameos were one thing, what further had them engaged to the last minute was the intensity of it all.

Yet, among all the scenes, one moment in particular was truly the most intense, delivered immaculately by Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. And, ironically enough, this scene wasn’t one of those gruesome battlefield moments, but rather, the jiff before it that was so deep that fans are convinced Jackman must have hugged Ryan Reynolds after carrying out this scene.

This Deadpool & Wolverine Scene Must Have Been a Bit Too Intense to Shoot

Amidst all the gory fight sequences and rapid healing, surprising new debuts and old character reprisals, and the Merc with a Mouth’s risqué and obscene jabs and gags, Deadpool & Wolverine also captured some rather emotionally intense moments. One of these included Hugh Jackman‘s mutant unleashing verbal hell on his very partner who traveled universes just to find him.

In the scene, Ryan Reynolds‘ Wade Wilson is, as usual, yapping around trying to keep the fun and comfortable element in the air. However, this time, Wolverine actually gets so tired of his babbling that he doesn’t hold back while landing some really vicious wordy blows on him. If anything, to say the least, Reynolds’ anti-hero was pretty much cooked in this scene.

As seen in the clip of the film shared by @therealsupes on X, Jackman can be seen fiercely saying:

You know what? You’re a f—ing joke. No wonder the Avengers didn’t take you or the X-Men, and they take they f—ng anyone. I mean, you are a ridiculous, immature, half-wit moron. I have never met a sadder, more attention-starved, jabbering little pr-ck in my entire life, and that says a lot because I’ve been alive for more than 200 f—ing years!

While that was already intense with the Logan actor making it all the more realistic with his jaw-dropping acting chops, this rant was anything but done. Continuing, Jackman’s character took it even more personally as he went on to say:

I’ll tell you, that bald chick was right about one thing: You will never save the world. You couldn’t even save a relationship with a godd—n str-pper! Motherf—er, I wish I could say you’d die alone, but it’s one of God’s best jokes that you can’t die, except that’s on all of us! What, you got nothing to say, Mouth?

Of course, Logan is known for his ruthless persona and venomous charisma when he’s pissed off. But this scene was truly something else. In fact, it was so vicious that, throughout it and even until the end, Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth was seen the quietest he has ever been, with his head quite literally hanging like he was disappointed in himself as well.

Fans React to Hugh Jackman’s Epic Scene with Ryan Reynolds

As fans already know and must have seen throughout all those marketing efforts for the movie, Jackman and Reynolds actually love and support each other like no other. That being said, after watching this scene, fans couldn’t help but wonder just how hard it must have been for the dynamic duo and actual real-life besties to shoot such an intensely hurting scene.

Taking to X, here’s what those fans have to say about the moment that must have quite literally been followed by a pin-drop silence in the theaters:

Needless to say, this sudden, unplanned outburst was so harsh and brutal (even more so since it was all real and Jackman quite literally put his all in it) that even Jackman and Reynolds must have had to hug it out afterward. As for fans? Well, it would unarguably be a long, long time before they finally forget this scene.
