Devastating images show many luxury villas of famous celebrities reduced to ashes after the disaster.

Hollywood’s biggest stars are struggling after discovering their affluent neighbourhoods reduced to ash and rubble as a California wildfire rages through Pacific Palisades.

The death toll from the historic blaze has now risen to five, as firefighters continue to battle brutal conditions on the front lines of at least five separate blazes.

The homes of celebrities including Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman and Miles Teller are among those destroyed, while dozens of other celebrities say they are waiting anxiously with their neighbours to find out if anything can be saved.

The devastating blaze ripped through the affluent Pacific Palisades neighbourhood on Tuesday (January 7), spreading rapidly to surrounding suburbs as a windstorm carried ash and debris in every direction. Now the widespread devastation is becoming more apparent as celebrities share their anguish at discovering they have lost their million-dollar mansions.
