New Venom: The Last Dance art shows what Henry Cavill could look like as the villainous Knull in the upcoming Marvel film from Sony Pictures. One of the most discussed elements from the final Venom: The Last Dance trailer was the big surprise that Knull, the creator of the symbiotes, will officially make his live-action debut this fall in Tom Hardy’s trilogy finale. However, despite getting an early glimpse of him, Knull’s actor remains a massive mystery.
Currently, Sony Pictures has not revealed who is actually playing Knull in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, with Marvel fans speculating about who may actually be portraying the famous foe in Venom: The Last Dance. Digital artist Venomhology has shared new Venom: The Last Dance art showing what it could look like if Henry Cavill played Knull. Check it out below.
Cavill is no stranger to the comic book and superhero genre, as he portrayed Superman in the DCEU for several movies between 2013 and 2022. However, Cavill has also added a major Marvel credit to his acting career as of 2024 when the British actor appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Deadpool & Wolverine, where he portrayed a Logan variant who was dubbed The Cavillrine.
What The Henry Cavill As Knull In Venom: The Last Dance Art Means For The Upcoming Tom Hardy Movie
Cavill becoming a popular candidate for Knull’s actor identity isn’t too much of a surprise for Venom: The Last Dance, given the circumstances of the October film. Since this will be the final movie for Hardy’s Eddie Brock, introducing Knull is a major deal, which paves the way for the movie to have tried to tap a very popular actor to play the Marvel antagonist. Cavill, whose fame only continues to grow, would be a huge casting addition for Knull in Venom: The Last Dance, especially after his Marvel cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine.
As much as Cavill is known for playing heroic roles, the Man of Steel actor has also proven that he can portray some phenomenal villains, too. Having him play a major Marvel villain after his time as Krypton’s last son would be a very interesting trajectory. Presenting Cavill as Knull through fan art also demonstrates that many still want to see him back in the superhero genre after his time with DC.
Our Take On Henry Cavill As Knull For Venom: The Last Dance
As impressive as the Marvel fan art is, it is highly unlikely that Cavill will be playing Knull in Venom: The Last Dance. If anything, it will likely be someone who has already been announced to be in the Venom: The Last Dance cast, especially since Cavill has been busy over the last few years when Hardy’s movie was being filmed, which would have prevented the DCEU star from also playing the main villain in the 2024 installment. With only a month left to go before Venom: The Last Dance releases in theaters, the world will know sooner rather than later who will end up playing Knull.
