Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn opens up on joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Human Torch in the Fantastic Four reboot for Marvel Studios.
Joseph Quinn shares his excitement about taking on the role of Human Torch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as part of the Fantastic Four reboot. Marvel’s First Family are finally getting their due in the MCU, as the Fantastic Four reboot is currently in pre-production. Principal photography is expected to begin later this year, as Marvel Studios is lining Fantastic Four up to be one of the big blockbusters in 2025.
During an appearance at the Fact Comic-Con (via F4Update), Quinn was asked about joining the Fantastic Four cast as Johnny Storm, a.k.a. Human Torch. The Stranger Things star stressed that it was an easy decision, as “we have a great group,” while adding the following:
I’m really excited! I still can’t believe it, it’s crazy. We have a great group. When I spoke to Matt, the director, he had a brilliant vision for this, and the group we have, it was an easy decision. I definitely wanted to be a part of it. I’ll be setting myself on fire every day [when asked about what he is doing for preparation].
Why Joseph Quinn Is A Perfect Choice For Fantastic Four
Quinn Is Becoming A Hollywood Rising Star Since Appearing In Stranger Things Season 4.
With Quinn joining Fantastic Four and being one of the latest additions to the MCU, Marvel Studios is coming at a time in the actor’s career where he is currently on the rise. Quinn had his breakout role in Stranger Things season 4 as the lovable Eddie Munson, who quickly became a fan favorite. Sadly, his run in season 4 was short-lived but not forgettable, as he became one of the casualties.
Following his Stranger Things gig, Quinn got on Hollywood’s radar, as he has been busy getting booked for various projects over the last two years. Quinn will be seen in A Quiet Place. Day One, with Black Panther star Lupita Nyong’o, arriving in theaters on June 28. While they will be working together in Fantastic Four, it won’t be the first time Pedro Pascal and Quinn collaborate as they are both starring in Gladiator 2, which opens on November 22.
Quinn is also taking on his first A24 project as he will be featured in Alex Garland’s war film Warfare, which will be his last movie before he starts shooting Fantastic Four. As Quinn has landed one of the most iconic Marvel roles of all time, it will be exciting to see what he brings to the table as the Human Torch. Hopefully, more news about Fantastic Four will emerge over the next few months as the MCU gets ready to bring in these iconic characters.
