Voltage Pictures has released the Marked Men trailer for the upcoming romance drama, based on Jay Crownover’s bestselling novel Rule. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on January 22 and January 23, 2025 from Fathom Events.

“In the film, Shaw, a pre-med student, has loved Rule, a rebellious tattoo artist, for years, though he’s only ever seen her as a family friend,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “After one uninhibited night, they’re forced to confront buried feelings while navigating grief, family expectations, and fear of commitment—testing whether love between two people from such different worlds can truly survive.”

Who is in the Marked Men trailer?

The video features Outer Banks breakout star Chase Stokes as he plays the character of tattoo artist Rule Archer, who continues to deny his feelings for his long-time friend Shaw Landon due to his commitment issues. The cast also includes Sydney Taylor as Shaw, Alexander Ludwig as Rome Archer, Ella Balinska as Ayden Cross, Evan Mock as Jet Teller, Matthew Noszka as Nash Donovan, Natalie Alyn Lind as Cora Lewis, Hannah Kepple as Loren, Inanna Sarkis as Jordynn, and more.

Marked Men is directed by Nick Cassavetes from a screenplay written by Sharon Soboil. The film is produced by Matthew Barry, Taylor Conrod, Jennifer Gibgot, Josh Kesselman, Christopher Kulikowski, Ella Myers, Brian Pitt, and J.B. Sugar, with Hallie Kesselman, Andrew Panay, and Ryan Westheimer serving as executive producers. The creative team also includes cinematographer Kenji Katori and editor Jim Flynn.
