Elodie Yung Speaks Out On Possible Return Before Daredevil: Born Again

Elodie Yung, who played Elektra in Netflix’s Daredevil, recently talked about the chance of coming back to the character. In an interview with TooFab during The Cleaning Lady Season 3 celebration, she shared her excitement about returning as Elektra.

But she made it clear that it’s not just up to her; Marvel has the final say. She said,

“Oh my gosh, I would love that. It’s so funny because my fans are like, Can you come back? and I’m like, Ask Mr. Marvel, you have to ask Mr. Marvel for that, not me.”

Yung’s portrayal of Elektra was loved by fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and now with Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio confirmed to return for Daredevil: Born Again, fans are excited for more familiar faces.

After Disney took over 20th Century Fox, the future of the Netflix Marvel series became uncertain. It wasn’t clear if they’d still be part of the MCU or if the actors would keep their roles.

It seems decisions are being made case by case, with Cox and D’Onofrio already set to return. Only time will tell if Elektra will make a comeback. Yung’s on board, though. The actress disclosed,

“I mean, she has skills probably that I don’t have, and currently, I am not really fit and trained and if she’s reprised the part already. She probably went through training, so she probably would. But I love her. That would be so much fun, two Elektras.”

But seeing Cox and D’Onofrio coming back gives hope for other characters, like Elektra. Now rumors are swirling about Jennifer Garner, as she was Elektra in Ben Affleck’s Daredevil movie back in 2003 and then in her own movie in 2005.

After almost 20 years, rumors are swirling that she might return for Deadpool & Wolverine. That’s a big deal because it could mean two different versions of Elektra in the mix.

Who would win in a fight between the two Elektras? Yung thinks Garner might have the edge since “she has skills probably that I don’t have, and currently I am not really fit and trained and if she’s reprised the part.”

With the multiverse in play, anything’s possible. But there’s more to the Daredevil Born Again story, other characters are joining the reboot series. It’s all adding to the excitement!

Foggy and Karen, much-loved characters from Daredevil: Born Again, are making a comeback in the reboot series. Production on Daredevil: Born Again has been chugging along, and fans are thrilled that two favorites who got sidelined in the original series are finally getting their due.

When news broke that Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson might not have significant roles, fans were understandably upset. But Marvel has listened, seizing the opportunity to bring them back into the mix.

In the show, Karen starts as a secretary at Nelson & Murdock, the law firm of Matt Murdock (Cox) and Foggy. Her character grows a lot throughout the series, evolving from a client in need of legal help to a vital part of the team, tackling various cases and investigations.

Meanwhile, Foggy serves as the down-to-earth, relatable anchor amidst all the superhero drama. His character adds heart and humor to the show, grounding it in reality.

Throughout the three seasons of Daredevil, both characters were essential moral compasses for Matt and his crime-solving crew. So, fans are eagerly awaiting their return, ready to dive back into the thrilling world of Daredevil film.
