Deadpool 3 is different from the usual lot, at least that’s what director Shawn Levy is saying!

Deadpool & Wolverine starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman is slowly inching towards it’s worldwide release. Being Marvel Studios sole presentation from the movies department this year, Deadpool 3 is one of the most anticipated projects. And ever since the first trailer for the movie was released earlier this year, we are getting new updates every few weeks.

Shawn Levy, who is the director behind the upcoming project, has been making remarks about what we can expect from the movie. With so many characters and actors rumored to be in the movie, more than those who are already confirmed, Levy is trying his best to keep leaks at a bay. Recently, he made a comment on Deadpool 3 that has fans pretty excited.

Deadpool & Wolverine Director Shawn Levy Is Joining The MCU By Dissing On It

Deadpool & Wolverine will be the Merc with the Mouth’s debut into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And, of course, fans can’t keep calm now that the X-Men Universe is finally part of the MCU canon. Deadpool is being called the MCU Jesus, a moniker that came from the movie’s trailer itself. And fans are definitely hoping that just like Jesus, he can do some miracle and save MCU from the slump it has been stuck in since Phase 4 began.

Talking to Total Film (via Games Radar) , Director Levy spoke of how the MCU, just like any other, is facing the ebb and flow. While it had it’s high, it’s bound to have sone lows. But he, along with the rest of the fanbase, hopes Deadpool 3 can turn the tide in their favor.

What Kevin Feige has built with the MCU is historic as far as a string of successes, but culture has its tide chart, culture has ebbs and flows, and one thing we do know is you can’t keep doing the same thing ad nauseum and expect people to greet it with the same excitement.

He further added that even though he is a fan of the MCU, his own movie as he joins the franchise, is different from the usual.

It just worked out really fortuitously because our movie is not like any MCU movie. Yeah, and I say that as a fan of a lot of MCU movies.

Understandably, fans are beyond excited to see what the trio of Levy, Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman have in store for us. With the trailers making so much noise already, the movie is bound to be equally noisy (in a very Deadpool way).

Wolverine Is Joining The MCU With His Signature Comic Book Look

When the Fox X-Men Universe was at play, the actors in the franchise were never seen in comic book accurate looks. They wore black suits instead of the yellow and blue X-Men suits that was always a fan favorite. But as we saw in the trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine, Hugh Jackman‘s Logan/Wolverine was seen wearing the comic accurate yellow and blue suit.

Fans could not contain their excitement in the matter as they took to social media to express their emotions. Many agreed that the comic suit making it’s live action debut is the perfect way to introduce the X-Men to the MCU canon. After Bryan Singer’s movie was seen dissing on the iconic yellow and blue suit with a banter between Cyclops and Wolverine, we finally have what fans had been hoping to see from the very beginning.

Whether it is an homage to the OG X-Men or just a way to incorporate the comic accurate look, fans cannot wait to see who else shows up in screen wearing the same yellow and blue. Deadpool & Wolverine is all set to be released on July 26, 2024.
