During a Disney shareholders meeting, an early look at the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again TV show was previewed, showing Charlie Cox back in the MCU.

Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock gets into action in a new Daredevil: Born Again look, setting up his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen is set to have a major role going forward in the MCU, as Cox will headline the Daredevil: Born Again TV show. Production has been taking place over the last few months as Marvel Studios gets ready for the Disney+ series.

During a recent Disney shareholders meeting (via MCU Film News), a brief glimpse of Daredevil: Born Again was shown. While it is likely that the footage is early on, it sees Cox back as Daredevil being in the middle of some action. At the time of this story’s publication, no release date or release window was given for when Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney+. This comes nearly a day after Jon Bernthal’s Punisher was revealed in new set photos, showing him back in his old costume.

Everything We Know About Daredevil: Born Again

While it won’t be a full official continuation of Netflix’s Daredevil TV show, the Daredevil: Born Again series will be tied to the original one, taking place several years later. Plot details are being kept under wrap, but a few new characters will be making their way from the world of Marvel Comics, including White Tiger and the Daredevil villain Muse. As Daredevil: Born Again was initially ordered for 18 episodes, it has been reported to be less than that after the creative overhaul.

The Daredevil: Born Again cast will feature several familiar faces from the original Netflix drama. Outside of Cox and Bernthal, Daredevil: Born Again will also feature Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson. While it’s unclear if he is the main villain or not, Wilson Bethel is also reprising the role of Dex Poindexter, a.k.a. Bullseye.

Even though it will likely be until 2025 before the fans get the series on Disney+, the wait will certainly be worth it. With more focus on having Daredevil: Born Again lean into Daredevil, the MCU will be tapping into one of the stronger corners of the franchise that was so successful on Netflix. Hopefully, as Daredevil: Born Again gets closer to wrapping production, Marvel Studios will finally be able to start marketing the series.
