John Bernthal’s habit of sharing set photos for Daredevil: Born Again has been called out by a co-star as they celebrate their MCU return.

Jon Bernthal has been publishing set photos from the production of Daredevil: Born Again, and a co-star has called out his antics as they celebrate their jump from Netflix to the MCU. Production on Daredevil: Born Again is now well underway, with excitement for the Man Without Fear’s return at a fever pitch – something that a recent series of set photos have helped to stoke. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is not alone in his return, as many of the stars of Netflix’s Daredevil are officially confirmed to be joining him.

Deborah Ann Woll, who will reprise her role as Karen Page in Daredevil: Born Again, is among them, and has jokingly called out Jon Bernthal on X/Twitter for being a “leaker” after he shared a set photo of him, Woll, and Cox on-set. The photo seemingly depicts the actors between takes as Bernthal’s grinning face appears to be covered in wounds, which is a common trend for Bernthal’s Punisher in recent set photos. The post has been met with much enthusiasm from fans, who are joining in on the cast’s jubilation for their return.

Every Defenders Saga Character Confirmed To Be Returning In Daredevil: Born Again So Far

It was recently confirmed that the Defenders Saga, comprising the Netflix-based shows featuring the Defenders, Punisher, and their villains, are officially part of MCU canon. This has coincided with confirmation that the majority of main characters featured in Netflix’s Daredevil will be reprising their roles in Daredevil: Born Again, including Matt Murdock’s closest friends and his arch nemesis, Wilson Fisk. Set photos have helped to confirm their return, as have social media posts from the cast members themselves.

The involvement of these characters hints at various possible plot details. Daredevil Season 3 ended with the conception of “Nelson, Murdock, and Page” law firm by the eponymous three, which set photos of the firm’s official signage confirmed will be included in the show. Following the events of Echo, Wilson Fisk will also be either gearing up to become Mayor of New York City, or already in the role. This gives a clue as to the nature of Punisher’s return in Daredevil: Born Again, as the villain’s ascent to power leads him to outlaw vigilantes in the comics.
