Gambit powering up Wolverine's claws in X-Men '97

Hugh Jackman recently posted a video of his Deadpool & Wolverine workout, and now Channing Tatum’s reply has many hoping for a hotly anticipated X-Men team up in the MCU movie. Tatum was long expected to play Gambit in one of Fox’s X-Men movies, but the project got stuck in development for years. Eventually, it was canceled when Disney bought Fox, leaving many disappointed that Tatum would not get to play the Ragin’ Cajun.

However, now that Channing Tatum replied to Jackman’s Instagram post, there is speculation that he may still get to appear as Gambit. While Tatum simply shared some encouragement of Jackman’s workout, the fact that he would comment on something tied to Deadpool & Wolverine is raising eyebrows. Add to this the fact that the film is reportedly going to include a lot of Marvel movie cameos, and Tatum finally playing Gambit doesn’t seem so far-fetched. Tatum’s comment, and those of fans hoping to see Gambit in the upcoming MCU movie, can be seen below:
