Blake Lively’s Heartfelt Tribute to Michelle Trachtenberg After Her Tragic Passing at 39 – Her Emotional Words Will Break You

Blake Lively has broken her silence following the death of her former “Gossip Girl” costar Michelle Trachtenberg.

In a post on her Instagram story Wednesday evening, Lively, 37, shared a photo of her and Trachtenberg, who died at the age of 39, in a scene from their beloved aughts teen soap, which premiered on the CW in 2007.

“This is the first day I met Michelle,” the “It Ends With Us” star began a statement written alongside the snap. “She was electricity. You knew when she entered a room because the vibration changed. Everything she did, she did 200%.”

The “A Simple Favor” star continued, “She laughed the fullest at someone’s joke, she faced authority head on when she felt something was wrong, she cared deeply about her work, she was proud to be a part of this community and industry as painful as it could be sometimes, she was fiercely loyal to her friends and brave for those she loved, she was big and bold and distinctly herself.”

“And she always had yummy caramel smelling lipgloss on because she didn’t just want to sparkle on camera, she liked creating a nice experience for anyone who was in her orbit, even down to the subtle smell of her lipgloss because she cared about the sweet details,” Lively added.

“She was a kind person, through and through.”

The actress went on, “Time passes. You take for granted that you get the chance to see an old friend. To paraphrase, the real tragedies in life are the ones that blindside you on an idle Tuesday.”

“Hold those you love and have loved dear. The world lost a deeply sensitive and good person in Michelle.”

Lively concluded, “May her work and her huge heart be remembered by those who were lucky enough to experience her fire.”

The Post broke the news of Trachtenberg’s passing. The “Buffy the Vampire Star” alum was 39.

Her mother found her around 8 a.m. Wednesday at her luxury apartment in Manhattan’s Central Park South neighborhood, sources told The Post.

“It is with great sadness to confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away,” Trachtenberg’s rep Gary Mantoosh confirmed in a statement to The Post. “The family requests privacy for their loss. There are no further details at this time,” Mantoosh said.

Trachtenberg underwent a liver transplant within the last year. Per sources, it’s believed her body may have rejected the liver transplant and that star died of natural causes.

Lively’s tribute late Wednesday followed other memorials shared by Trachtenberg’s friends and former costars, including one from another “Gossip Girl” vet, Ed Westwick.

“So sad to hear of the passing of @michelletrachtenberg,” Westwick, 37, wrote on his Instagram Story Wednesday alongside a photo of Trachtenberg on “Gossip Girl.”

“Sending prayers,” he added.

Rosie O’Donnell, who played opposite Trachtenberg in “Harriet the Spy” (1996) and Trachtenberg’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” cast-mates James Marsters and Alyson Hannigan also shared remembrances of the star.
