Who will be directing Spider-Man 4?

Marvel Studios has a history of hiring some of the most talented directors in the film industry. From the Russo Brothers and James Gunn to Taika Watiti, James Mangold, and even Sam Raimi, their lineup is certainly impressive. All these directors have helped create masterpieces, bit by bit helping the superhero franchise become what it is today.

Marvel has had excellent directors

Knowing how many big-name directors have been a part of the franchise, many fans were not surprised when certain rumors started to float around the internet—rumors regarding the director of the upcoming and highly-anticipated Spider-Man 4.

Unfortunately for those who believed and wanted the whispers to be true, an insider seems to have shut these speculations down very quickly with a rather rude awakening.

Rumors Fly About Who Marvel Hired For Spider-Man 4

The Spider-Man films have been known to have excellent directors. From Sam Raimi heading the Tobey Maguire films to Marc Webb directing the two Andrew Garfield films, and finally, Tom Hollands films being made by Jon Watts. As the character swings into a new chapter in the form of the new trilogy, it was confirmed in a statement, via Deadline, that the director would not be joining him.

“Making three Spider-Man films was an incredible and life-changing experience for me. I’m eternally grateful to have been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for seven years. I’m hopeful we’ll work together again and I can’t wait to see the amazing vision for Fantastic Four brought to life.”

With the playing field now open and many names being thrown around, HolyField News on X also added four names to the list.

In a post, they mentioned that Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan, Jordan Peele, and George Miller are in the running to head the fourth Spider-Man film. While many fans were confused about the authenticity of the post, one trusted source cleared the air.

Industry Insider Comments On The Subject

The rumors and conversation around them seemed to have gotten out of hand as an insider felt the need to comment on the situation to clear up the confusion. MyTimeToShineHello is a credible, exclusive insider who has managed to release some very accurate information. Replying to posts with false news, their three words were more than enough to shut down further speculation.

“Are you high” said the insider.

Once the rose-colored glasses are torn off, it is much easier to see how impossible it would be for the four directors to be a part of the project. Spider-Man 4 is set to begin filming in September, during which Jordan Peele will be busy with another project. Additionally, Christopher Nolan has said on multiple occasions that he is not interested in making another superhero film after working on The Dark Knight trilogy.

While that still leaves Steven Spielberg and George Miller in the run, it seems highly unlikely that something like this would happen.
