An insider just let it leak which A-list celebrity Meghan Markle looks up to, and our jaws are on the floor. This is a pairing we did not see coming, but apparently the Duchess of Sussex has her eyes on a member of America’s version of the royal family.

According to In Touch, Markle is hoping she can befriend Kourtney Kardashian. And if the husbands, Prince Harry and Travis Barker, get along too, all the better! (Talk about an epic double date!)

“Meghan knows Harry would enjoy meeting Travis and thinks they would all get along well, she thinks it would be fun and that’s something she and Harry are looking to add to their life in the coming year,” the source said. They could even make it a triple date by inviting their common friend Skye Hoppus who’s married to Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus.

“Meghan’s plan is to invite them over for dinner at the house, she wants to cook for them and have a nice little dinner party,” they continued. “She may even invite Skye and Mark to break the ice.”

OK, even if this source is full of you-know-what, it seems like they have the perfect plan mapped out for Markle to bond with the TV personality.

“In a lot of ways, she and Kourtney are similar,” the source said. “They’re both these granola types that are super devoted moms.”

Umm … I don’t know if “granola” would be the first word we would use to describe either of the moms, but we’ve certainly seen their motherly devotion time and again. Markle and Prince Harry share kids Prince Archie, 5 and Princess Lilibet, 3. Meanwhile, Kardashian shares three kids with ex Scott Disick and a baby with Barker who also has three kids from a previous relationship.

“Meghan really admires what Kourtney has done with Poosh, she reads it all the time and loves how unapologetic the whole concept is,” the source continued, referencing Kardashian’s lifestyle brand. And it would make sense if Markle is keeping an eye on Poosh given that she has her own lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.

Markle isn’t the only member of the British royal family who is being connected to American “royalty.” Last week, 9-year-old Princess Charlotte made headlines when she lost her “title” as the most stylish celebrity kid. Based on a study that analyzed celebrity kids who generate the highest number of fashion-related Google searches, the highest number of Google articles, and the highest engagement rates on social media — North West now holds the crown.

So who knows, maybe the young Princess of Wales would say she “admires” the 11-year-old Kardashian’s designer streetwear and will be organizing a [play]date of her own. (Could you imagine?!)
