Alice in Borderland Season 3 Gets a Release Window and New Look from Netflix

The Japanese series Alice in Borderland, whose Season 3 was initially teased by Netflix for a 2025 release, has now received a proper release window by series director Shinsuke Sato, who posted on X that it will arrive in September.

This update comes as Netflix released a new video showcasing its upcoming releases in Japan, including fresh footage from Alice in Borderland Season 3. You can watch it below:

Kento Yamazaki returns as Ryouhei Arisu, and Tao Tsuchiya reprises her role as Yuzuha Usagi. Director Shinsuke Sato is also back.

The series is based on Haro Aso’s manga, which ran from November 2010 to March 2016 in Shogakukan’s Shonen Sunday S and Weekly Shonen Sunday magazines and was compiled into 18 volumes.

The story of Alice in Borderland follows Arisu, a young man who isolates himself to play video games, only to find himself and his only two friends transported into a parallel world that functions like a game. In this abandoned version of Tokyo, residents must compete in life-threatening challenges controlled by an unknown force. Each game corresponds to one of the four suits in a deck of cards, and those who lose are killed by lasers from the sky. The goal is to win games and collect all the cards to escape back to the real world.
