“They’re hard at work writing it.”
Adam Brody has shared an exciting update on Nobody Wants This season 2, confirming filming will begin soon.
The Netflix rom-com series debuted back in September, quickly becoming a huge hit on the platform before being swiftly renewed in October.
Speaking in a new interview on Andy Cohen Live, Brody admitted he’s in the dark about where the show will go.
“I don’t know much. I’ve sort of taken a blissful ignorance,” he said (via Deadline), before teasing that the team is currently writing the next set of episodes.
“I mean, they’re hard at work writing it. We’re gonna film it relatively soon,” the star added.
Cohen then asked if the season will start production in January, Brody clarifying: “February. February as I understand it. That’s what they’re aiming for and yeah. I just kind of think, I’m gonna imagine it’s amazing and I’m not gonna know and I’ll know when I know.”
Upon the renewal news, it was also confirmed that Girls‘ Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan would be taking over the writers’ room, while creator Erin Foster will remain as an executive producer.
“Creating Nobody Wants This will forever be a career highlight for me,” Foster said. “The incredible cast, crew, producers and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers’ reactions to this series now that it’s out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed.
“I’m so lucky to be able to continue this story, and to do it alongside Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who I’ve been such a fan of since Girls… Justice for healthy relationships being the most romantic!”
Nobody Wants This is available on Netflix.
