Adam Brody Reveals How Leighton Meester Feels About His “Hot Rabbi” in ‘Nobody Wants This’

“I would be pretty upset anyway if something happened to my marriage, but I would certainly be upset if success ruined it,” he said.

Adam Brody on How Wife Leighton Meester Feels About His 'Hot Rabbi'

Adam Brody revealed how his wife, Leighton Meester, feels about his “Hot Rabbi,” Noah, in Nobody Wants This.

The actor made an appearance on Andy Cohen Live Thursday, where he was asked what the Gossip Girl star thought of people across the internet crushing on her husband after the show in which he stars opposite Kristen Bell debuted on Netflix.

“She’s very proud,” Brody said, jokingly noting that it hasn’t caused any roadblocks for their relationship “yet.” “We’ll see. No. I’d say it’s only a runway. Only smooth runway. We’re such, you know, we’re each other’s biggest fans.”

The Fleishman Is in Trouble actor added that they’ve been together for 10 years at this point, and their opportunities are a good thing, and they’re kind of used to it.

“Any opportunity is an opportunity for both of us,” he said. “I don’t know. It’s early days, but it’s been great so far. We’ve been through this. I would be pretty upset anyway if something happened to my marriage, but I would certainly be upset if success ruined it.”

Adam Brody: Inside the Nobody Wants This star's career comeback

The Shazam! star also briefly talked about Nobody Wants This season two but admitted he doesn’t know much about it.

“I’ve sort of taken a blissful ignorance. I mean, they’re hard at work writing it. We’re gonna film it relatively soon,” Brody said, sharing that they’re set to begin production in February. “That’s what they’re aiming for and yeah. I just kind of think, I’m gonna imagine it’s amazing and I’m not gonna know and I’ll know when I know.”

In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter following the news the rom-com series had been renewed for a second season, creator Erin Foster teased some of the things fans could expect from the next installment.

“We’re still playing around with the different stories,” she said. “Esther [Jackie Cohn] for sure, is going to be a regular in season two. We love Jackie, she is such a fun actress. And she really gave Esther some fun, nuanced stuff.”

She also confirmed they would be wrapping up Morgan (Justine Lupe) and Sasha’s (Timothy Simons) “weird ‘is it romantic?’ thing.”

“We want to see them together in season two, hanging out,” Foster explained. “We want to see Esther. I think we went down that road enough that now we’re going to pull back and reposition so we can have them all in scenes together without [Morgan] being like, a full homewrecker. But we’re going to give Morgan something very fun.”
