Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Viral Video Has Fans Saying: ‘This Is How Rom-Coms Start!’

Taylor Swift adorably imitates Travis Kelce's first down celebration during Chiefs playoff win

A series of cutaway shots between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at an NFL game has been described as something from a romantic comedy.

The “Bad Blood” singer was on hand at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday to watch her boyfriend help the Kansas City Chiefs get one step closer to the Super Bowl.

Swift attended the Chiefs’ divisional round playoff game against the Houston Texans and joined the crowd in standing for the singing of the national anthem before kickoff.

The TV broadcast cut between images of Kelce standing with his teammates on the field and Swift in a private VIP suite with her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift, as they sang along to the anthem. Kelce could be seen pumping himself up for the game by shifting from side to side and shaking his head as the anthem played.

A recording of the moment has circulated on X, formerly Twitter, and one Swift fan has gone viral after sharing their thoughts on the clip.

“This looks like the beginning of a romcom,” the user wrote in a post that has received more than 300,000 views.

Other fans agreed, with one commenting, “AND IM SAT FOR IT.”

“Seriously they already have all the shots, angles and fade-aways planned out lol,” another added.

The Chiefs defeated the Texans 23-14 as Swift cheered them on. She was joined in the VIP suite by Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever player and 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year.

It was the first time the pair watched a Chiefs game together, but according to Time‘s Athlete of the Year profile published in December, Clark said Swift had previously invited her to a game.

The profile said: “Swift gave Clark four bags of Eras Tour merchandise with a note saying Clark was inspiring to watch from afar.

“She said ‘Trav and I’ were excited to get to a Fever game now that the tour was winding down and invited Clark to attend a Chiefs game with her.”

The Chiefs are now one step closer to playing in their third consecutive Super Bowl. On Sunday, they head to their seventh straight AFC Championship Game, where the Chiefs are set to host the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

The winner of that match would go on to face either the Philadelphia Eagles or Washington Commanders in the Super Bowl.

On February 9, Super Bowl LIX is scheduled to kick off at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Rapper Kendrick Lamar is expected to perform the halftime show.
