Hollywood actor Zachary Levi has issued an impassioned plea to Elon Musk and Donald Trump amid the ongoing DOGE cost-cutting policies being implemented.
Levi took to Fox News to talk about how pleased he was that Trump was elected, before making one request of him and his billionaire friend Musk – whose power across the US is seemingly growing with each passing day.
Levi – who starred in blockbusters and TV series such as Shazam!, Chuck and Tangled, is one of a few Hollywood actors who has been extremely vocal in his support of Trump and other right-wing policies.
And while he is clearly still a supporter of Trump, Musk and their plans – he has made one request of DOGE, as he hopes it doesn’t impact “good people” who voted for Trump.
He said: “I am so grateful that the election went the way that it did… DOGE is complicated. There are a lot of people that are very afraid right now because there are truly good working people that work for the government that are getting lost in the cracks.
“Please, Elon and all of your team, please don’t let everybody fall through the cracks as we are doing what is necessary.. There are good people, people that voted for Donald Trump who are losing their job. We got to make sure that we don’t leave those folks behind.”
While many were quick to suggest that Levi would be “canceled” for supporting Trump so vocally, he has since explained that this is not the reality of the case.
He said: “Within my industry, as you can probably imagine, Hollywood is a very, very liberal town, and this very well could constitute career suicide.
“I already had multiple jobs that I was in the process of shooting or that I have yet to shoot, and none of those have been compromised.
“None of my producers or any of these studios behind those films or projects have called and said, ‘Hey, listen, this is a line too far and we can’t have you associated with the project anymore.’ We’re all still full steam ahead on those.”
