The Boys star Karen Fukuhara explains why Homelander’s death should parallel a memorable moment from Game of Thrones. Billy Butcher and the Boys have been trying to find a way to defeat Homelander since season 1, and the stakes will be higher than ever in the final season now that Homelander controls the United States government. The question still remains of how the powerful Homelander can be killed, and which character can complete the seemingly impossible feat.

Fukuhara addressed this question when asked by TV Guide what her ideal death for Kimiko would be, suggesting that the character could be the one to kill Homelander in a moment reminiscent of Arya Stark killing the Night King in Game of Thrones season 8. While Arya did not die, it was unexpected for her to be the one to slay the Night King and, thereby, the entire Army of the Dead. Fukuhara wants Kimiko to survive but would desire a potential death to be similarly impactful. Check out the video and her comments below:

“I want the Arya Stark moment when she defeats the White Walker and nobody expected that. So perhaps maybe Homelander can be taken out by Kimiko. That would be a good death. If I’m going to take him out, I’d be willing to die.”

Could Kimiko Kill Homelander?

Her Powers Give Her A Chance But Likely Won’t Be Enough

To kill the Night King in Game of Thrones , Arya needed a Valyrian steel dagger, and if Kimiko is going to kill Homelander in The Boys season 5, she would need a similarly unparalleled weapon or advantage.

Given her likable nature and all the hardship she has endured, the idea of Kimiko dying is heartbreaking, even if it means finally defeating Homelander. As for whether she is capable of killing Homelander, Kimiko’s powers do give her the advantage of regenerative healing, which has revived and healed her from being shot in the head, having her neck snapped, and having her body torn in half. Even if Homelander kills Kimiko before she can do the same to him, she can heal from these lethal injuries and have multiple opportunities to retaliate against him.

She has other powers that can help her, including superhuman strength and agility. Kimiko has killed many others using her formidable array of powers, making her seem like she could be a worthy opponent to Homelander. The problem is that Homelander is even stronger than her and has abilities she does not have, ranging from flight to heat vision that allows him to shoot lasers out of his eyes and effortlessly cut down others.

No matter how many times Kimiko regenerates and regardless of how agile she is, she will likely still be unable to kill Homelander. It is also not a good sign that she was unable to break free from Sam Riordan in The Boys season 4 finale, as the young supe has superhuman strength, but is still not as strong as Homelander. To kill the Night King in Game of Thrones, Arya needed a Valyrian steel dagger, and if Kimiko is going to kill Homelander in The Boys season 5, she would need a similarly unparalleled weapon or advantage.
