Ashley St Clair’s world shifted the moment she revealed she had given birth to Elon Musk’s latest child, but a closer look at her past uncovers a starkly background before she became a MAGA supporter
She has been thrust into the limelight after announcing she is the ‘mother of Elon Musk’s 13th child’, and now onlookers are keen to know exactly who Ashley St Clair is.
Ashley St. Clair, known for her far-right affiliations, had a life shaped by very different experiences before becoming the mother of Elon Musk’s newest child and joining the circle of US President Donald Trump’s associates. Moreover, it has been revealed that Ashley is a political commentator and the author of conservative children books.
Additionally, she is a longtime writer for the Babylon Bee – a right-wing version of satirical website The Onion. A look back at her person X page (@stclairashley) dating to 2017 reveals new details about her childhood – including growing up ‘dirt poor’ and eating ‘cornstarch meals’ – as well as past relationships. Unsurprisingly, Ashley’s social media presence has surged since Elon took over Twitter’s reigns from Jack Dorsey in April 2022.

Before Elon’s takeover of the platform, Ashley’s account was allegedly suspended on a number of occasions for violating the platform’s rules regarding ‘hateful content’ in response to tweets deemed racist, fatphobic, and transphobic. The pro-life and pro-guns campaigner has routinely declared there are ‘only two genders’ and criticised the body positivity movement for ‘promoting obesity’ in posts on the micro-blogging platform.
Prior to allegedly welcoming her love child with the billionaire five months ago, Ashley fell pregnant in 2021 and gave birth to her firstborn, a son whom she shares with ex-boyfriend and New York based chiropractor Dr Johnny Alexander. Ashley first gave her X followers rare insight into her upbringing in a 2019 tweet, where she recalled how her mother went ‘from feeding a family of four on $0.60 a day, eating cornstarch and water & drinking powdered milk to being a top business leader’.
She has also claimed that her parents got divorced when she was a child, and that her mother and siblings were pushed into poverty and subsisted on ‘food stamps’ after her father left. In another X post from five years ago, Ashley revealed her family grew up so poor that ‘at times, we didn’t have running water’.
She said: “The best gifts my mom could get us were from the Dollar Tree,” she wrote in a message shared on November 4, 2019. Today, the famous mom lives in a swanky Manhattan apartment near City Hall, costing an estimated $12,000 to $15,000 per month.
