The Boys star Antony Starr has hinted at a spin-off series focused on Homelander, but with Soldier Boy as the central character

“The Boys” has become one of the most popular superhero series globally, with its fourth season recently concluding with a thrilling finale. While fans eagerly await the fifth and final season, which is expected to begin production soon, they can look forward to the second season of Gen V.

Gen V is the first spin-off from the main series, and it’s just the beginning. During this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, the showrunners revealed plans for several more spin-offs, including a Mexican version, as well as a series centered around Soldier Boy and Stormfront, sparking intriguing fan theories.

When asked which other character deserves a spin-off, series star Antony Starr expressed his interest in a Homelander spin-off—a prospect that sounds incredibly exciting to us!

The fourth season of The Boys sparked mixed reactions from fans and critics alike, but one aspect stood out as undeniable: Antony Starr’s portrayal of Homelander. Regardless of opinions on the season as a whole, everyone agreed that Starr delivered an outstanding performance, drawing comparisons to Heath Ledger’s iconic Joker, as we previously reported.

Starr’s portrayal was indeed exceptional, and with the way his story concluded in Season 4, anticipation for the final season is high. There’s much to explore in the upcoming season, with Homelander expected to be at the heart of it all.

Given Homelander’s popularity, it’s no surprise that he’s a strong contender for a spin-off series, and Antony Starr seems more than ready to take on the challenge.

If you’re unable to watch the video, here’s a brief summary: Entertainment Tonight conducted a short interview with Antony Starr at San Diego Comic-Con, and here’s the transcript:

ET: “Thankfully also Eric [Kripke] and these producers have created spinoffs galore.”

AS: “Thankfully for who, bro?”

ET: “I was going to ask you which character you think deserves their own series?”

AS: “I’m game, I’m game!”

As you can see, if Kripke and his team choose to pursue a spin-off series, Antony Starr is all in, which is exciting news. While there’s no official confirmation on this potential project yet, we’ll keep you informed as updates come in. Stay tuned for more details!
