Elon Musk jumps to Taylor Swift’s defence in surprising turn of Kanye West events
Elon Musk is not holding back from sharing his opinion on Kanye West’s Twitter account following the rapper’s misogynistic and racist comments on Taylor Swift during the Super Bowl over the weekend.
The 47-year-old American rapper, who aimed at his longtime rival on Sunday, February 9, caught the businessman’s attention with his anti-Semitic sentiments.
In response to the rapper’s acknowledgement for “allowing me to vent,” Musk shut down his social media handle as he confirmed later in a statement that read, “Given what he has posted, his account is now classified as NSFW [not safe for work]. You should not be seeing that anymore.”
This comes on the heels of West’s derogatory remarks about the Anti-hero hitmaker as he called out the 35-year-old for her ‘black man’ reference.
He previously tweeted, “IF ITS ABOUT THE CULTURE… WHY ARE WE LETTING TAYLOR SWIFT BE SEEN ON TV SINGING A SONG ABOUT TAKING A BLACK MAN DOWN AND ACCUSING OF THINGS THAT CAN TAKE A BLACK MAN DOWN FOR LIFE.”
However, the father-of-four was quick to add another comment, continuing his earlier thread by saying, “I’m logging out of Twitter. I appreciate Elon for allowing me to vent.
“It has been very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board. It was like an Ayahuasca trip. Love all of you who gave me the energy and attention. To [sic] we connect again. Good afternoon and goodnight.”
His comments were received with criticism as he was condemned as racist, sexist, tone-deaf, and misogynistic by several social media users as well as A-list celebrities.
