Hollywood’s biggest celebrities are picking up the pieces after discovering their affluent Los Angeles neighborhood was reduced to ash and rubble when the California wildfires tore through the Pacific Palisades.
The death toll of the historic infernos have now reached five, as heroic firefighters still battle hellish conditions on the front lines of at least five different fires.
The homes of Anthony Hopkins, Tina Knowles, John Goodman, Candy Spelling and Miles Teller are among those destroyed, while dozens of other stars now face an anxious wait alongside their neighbors to learn if anything could be saved.
Apocalyptic fires tore through the ritzy enclave of Pacific Palisades on Tuesday, rapidly spreading to surrounding suburbs as a windstorm carried embers and debris in all directions.
Residents fled and then waited with bated breath to learn more about their homes, as news began trickling out that entire streets had been wiped off the map, firefighters were running out of water, and resources were being diverted to fight the fire on multiple fronts.
Now, the widespread devastation is becoming clearer as celebrities share their devastation upon discovering they’ve lost their million-dollar mansions.

Candy Spelling’s $23million home on Malibu’s Pacific Coast Highway was lost in the wildfires.
She told TMZ: ‘I’m in shock and processing this massive loss for our family. I am beyond grateful for the memories. It was truly a wonderful gift to have.’
She added her late husband and TV producer Aaron Spelling had loved the house.
She previously listed the home for sale for $24million but took it off the market. She resides in

Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles revealed that she lost her Malibu bungalow to the catastrophic wildfires that have devastated Los Angeles.
She heartbrokenly revealed that her oceanfront property in Malibu was wrecked by the same fire – just days after she celebrated her 71st birthday there.
‘It was my favorite place, my sanctuary , my sacred Happy Place . Now it is gone !!’ she wrote on Instagram, before paying tribute to the five people who died.
Her message was accompanied by a video of the ocean view from her bungalow, with what appeared to be dolphins briefly surfacing over the waves.

Bozoma Saint John – who is the latest castmember of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills – revealed that she had lost her Malibu home.
The 47-year-old former chief marketing officer of Netflix shared a photo of the rubble along with other images of memorable times she shared on the property with her child Lael.
She wrote a heartfelt caption which read: ‘It is gone. This is an unimaginable loss. I grieve with the rest of Los Angeles as it burns… and even though I’ve found even words to write here, there’s nothing that I could say in this moment to describe this feeling.’
Bozoma began the post with a powerful message about what owning that dream home meant to her.
She wrote: ‘This is the house I wanted. The house I prayed for. The house I worked in blood, sweat and tears for. The house that I put a key pad instead of a key hole in the front door because I wanted all my family and friends to have a code and use the house whenever they wanted.
‘This is the house where I found peace after battling with racist neighbors and a community that made me have to buy it in a trust within a trust so no one would know that widowed, single Black woman with a teenager was buying on the exclusively-held beach.
‘This was my EFF YOU I’m here house. The house that I built a movie room dedicated to my sister so she could see her films in her own sanctuary. This is the house where I finally felt like I could choose to spend time… when I wanted to and how I wanted to.’

Beloved actor John Goodman’s home was wiped out in the wildfires.
The Pacific Palisades property was right in the path of the blaze, which has already scorched more than 15,000 acres and was traveling as far as five football fields a minute.
All that remains is his backyard pool, which is still filled with dirty, blackened water, and the driveway, which now leads to nothing but rubble.

There is nothing left of the Oscar winner’s property. The gates which protected the property are still standing, but have been pushed wide open.
Trees which once offered privacy are charred to a crisp.
As of Wednesday afternoon, officials haven’t provided an estimate of structures damaged or destroyed in the wildfire, but they said at least 100,000 residents were under evacuation orders and nearly 30,000 structures were under threat.
At least 100,000 additional people have been warned they should consider evacuating.

Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh bought their dream home for $7.5million in April 2023.
The home is now entirely wiped out.
Shocking pictures show a car parked in the driveway was also completely charred.
Keleigh had shared several photos on Instagram overnight, the first being a dramatic photo of the blaze with a crying emoji, and the second urging evacuees to leave bowls of water on the streets for animals as they escaped.
The couple have not yet commented on the loss of their own home.
The sprawling five bed, seven bath home was built in 2015, equipped with a movie theatre, gym and custom staircase.
It is understood the property was purchased as a ‘secondary residence.’

American Pie star Eugene Levy’s home has also been leveled.
He had earlier discussed trying to flee and being trapped in the gridlocked traffic along with thousands of other residents who were following evacuation orders.
‘The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon,’ he said.
‘I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark.’
His son Dan Levy later wrote on social media: ‘Heartbroken for my family, my friends and the people of LA affected by the catastrophic fires.’

Mandy Moore revealed that the Altadena home she shares husband Taylor Goldsmith was partially burned down due to the Eaton fire.
The 40-year-old actress and singer shared photos of the rubble along with a lengthy message beginning with the news that part of their home still remained standing.
She wrote: ‘We were able to park and walk up our street to bear witness to all the loss. Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing. For now. It’s not livable but mostly intact.
‘We lost Taylor and griffin’s studio with every instrument and piece of equipment they’ve ever owned. We lost our garage and back house.’
Mandy went on to sadly reveal that everyone that they know in the area were not as fortunate – giving her a sense of survivors guilt – as they were as every house on their street is gone including the home of her in-laws.

Matthew Perry’s former home
The home where Friends star Matthew Perry tragically died is within the destroyed evacuation zone of Pacific Palisades, according to Realtor.com.
The home was bought by real estate developer Anita Verma-Lallian for $8.5million just a few months ago.
According to Realtor.com, the property was surrounded by fire on Wednesday, with neighbors on Blue Sail Drive sharing horrifying footage of the rapidly approaching blaze to social media.
Though its unknown if Perry’s former home has burned down, Cal Fire’s live map shows that the neighborhood is within the ‘incident perimeter.’
Verma-Lallian confirmed via Instagram Story that her and her family are ‘safe’ but did not provide any information about the state of the property.
Verma-Lallian — who is based in Scottsdale, Arizona — purchased Perry’s 3,500-square-foot mansion in off-market deal in October 2024.
She previously told The Los Angeles Times that she planned to use the Pacific Palisades property as a ‘vacation home.’

He fled the Palisades with his family as the fast-moving wildfire tore through and is unclear what remains of his own property after the evacuation.

General Hospital star Cameron Mathison’s LA home was also razed in the fires.
The actor, 55, shared a shocking video of the still-flaming rubble of his former home in Pasadena, California which was destroyed in the Eaton wildfire as the Pacific Palisades blaze continues to spread.
Ash and flames were seen in the background, with the exterior structure of the home barely standing. Rubble and brick, as well as a ladder, was seen strewn about the property,
Mathison wrote: ‘We are safe But this is what’s left of our beautiful home. Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday.
‘Thanks to all who reached out and checked in. Can’t respond to all so wanted to give an update here. Sending so many prayers to everyone being affected by these fires.’
Mathison and now estranged wife Vanessa Arevalo lived in the home with their two children. The All My Children star bought the house in 2012 with Arevalo for for $1.672 million.
Speaking on Good Morning America on Thursday, he said he managed to make it out with only the clothes he was wearing.
He said: ‘I’ve been up all night. I can’t sleep. I’ve lost my home and everything that I own. I have this hoodie and a pair of pants and two pairs of sneakers left. That’s it.
‘This was not just a house. This was every single corner and tile and light fixture was picked out over a decade and half we were there.’

Cobie Smulders also tragically lost her home in the Pacific Palisades fire.
The fire started on the side of the house and within minutes engulfed the entire property, despite efforts from fire fighters to contain the blaze.
The How I Met Your Mother star, 42, and her husband, Taran Killam, bought the $5.6 million residence in 2017 and spent a year renovating it.
The home boasted five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
In a 2018 interview with Architectural Digest, she revealed that solar panels were her biggest splurge for the house, and that she also added in a 40-year-old photo booth.

‘My community and possibly my home is on fire,’ began the icon who had to evacuate the area.’ she wrote on Instagram.
‘My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well.
‘There are so many conflicting reports. With all the technology there seems to be very little information. PLEASE POST FACTS! IT WILL HELP THOSE WONDERING!’

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ex wife and former First Lady of California Maria Shriver shared a devastating update driving through her community on Wednesday.
She shared footage of the charred remains of homes, an entire street leveled with nothing left.
‘Heartbreaking, devastating, beyond belief. Everything is gone. Our neighborhood, our restaurants,’ she wrote.
‘All our friends have lost everything. We have evacuated, but are safe. But people have lost everything.’

At least 30,000 residents are now under mandatory evacuation orders
A second blaze, dubbed the Eaton Fire, broke out some 30 miles inland in Altadena, near Pasadena, and increased in size to 10,000 acres as of Wednesday afternoon.
Up to 500 structures have been lost in that fire alone, and all five confirmed fatalities are related to the Eaton blaze.
Mandy Moore and her three children have evacuated their Pasadena home as the catastrophic fire continued to spread westward. The This Is Us star, 40, says the family and their pets are safe. She’s unsure if her house survived.
A third blaze named the Hurst Fire had also broken out in Sylmar, in the San Fernando Valley northwest of Los Angeles, prompting evacuations of some nearby residents, while two more fires are now raging in the area as well.
Firefighters are continuing to battle the ferocious wildfires in Los Angeles suburbs, which have devoured buildings and sparked panicked evacuations as hurricane-force winds fueled rapid blaze growth.
Frightened residents abandoned their cars on one of the only roads in and out of the upscale Pacific Palisades area, fleeing on foot from the 15,000-acre inferno.
